The present study was performed to investigate the effect of dietary levels of protein, total sulfur amino acids (TSAA), methionine and cystine (M + C) and their interaction on the performance, carcass characteristics, blood components and meat quality of Egyptian geese. A total number of 144 geese at twelve weeks of age were randomly divided into 9 groups (16 birds/each group), each group of birds was sub-divided into 4 replicates, each of 4 birds. There was a significant increase in the bodyweight of geese due to protein and M + C levels (p less then 0.01). The studied levels of M + C affected significantly on weight gain of growing geese at the early period of 12-18 wk of age. Feed intake was increased with high dietary levels of CP % or M + C (p less then 0.05). There was a significant (p less then 0.01) increase in percentages of carcass, liver, dressing, breast and wing with high dietary protein level as compared to a moderate or low level. A high level of dietary protein led to increase in concentrations of total protein and albumin, while total lipids, cholesterol, aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were decreased with increasing level of protein (p less then 0.01). Fat percentage of breast muscle was significantly (p less then 0.01) decreased with increasing M + C levels. Protein % of breast muscle was increased with increasing protein levels. Finally, it can be concluded that the consumption of diets with high levels of protein or M + C can improve the bodyweight, feed conversion ratio, carcass and meat composition of Egyptian geese during the rearing period (12-24 wk of age).Zika Virus (ZIKV) is transmitted primarily by Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, resulting in asymptomatic infection, or acute illness with a fever and headache, or neurological complications, such as Guillain-Barre syndrome or fetal microcephaly. Monte-Carlo simulations using population PK and PD models were implemented to predict the time course of plasma concentration and Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) scores following the oral administration of 200 mg Seroquel® every 12 h and 400 mg Seroquel XR® every 24 h in patients experiencing dose delay, omission or doubling. Parameters were computed and their distributions were compared using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Dose irregularities with both formulations had different effects on plasma concentration and %reduction in BPRS scores from baseline. However, the odds ratio of getting a %reduction in BPRS below 14%, or plasma concentration exceeding 500 µg/L, were comparable for adherent and non-adherent patients. Plasma therapeutic concentration after treatment cessation was maintained for less then 24 h in 48% and 29.6% of patients, and a steady state recovery time of less then 48 h was achieved in 51% and 13.4% of patients on the IR and XR formulations, respectively. Monte-Carlo simulations predict that the risks associated with the IR dose irregularities are not worsened when the XR formulation is used instead. Non-adherence events involving a single dose of either formulation do not require rescue doses.Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) that were once considered "dark matter" or "transcriptional noise" in genomes are research hotspots in the field of epigenetics. Unlike miRNAs, which have been studied thoroughly, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a group of poorly conserved RNA molecules with a sequence length of more than 200 nucleotides and no protein encoding capability; they interact with large molecules, such as DNA, RNA, and proteins, and regulate protein modification, chromatin remodeling, protein functional activity, and RNA metabolism in vivo through cis- or trans-activation at the transcriptional, post-transcriptional, and epigenetic levels. Research on plant lncRNAs is just beginning and has gradually emerged in the field of plant molecular biology. Currently, some studies have revealed that lncRNAs are extensively involved in plant growth and development and stress response processes by mediating the transmission and expression of genetic information. This paper systematically introduces lncRNA and its regulatory mechanisms, reviews the current status and progress of lncRNA research in plants, summarizes the main techniques and strategies of lncRNA research in recent years, and discusses existing problems and prospects, in order to provide ideas for further exploration and verification of the specific evolution of plant lncRNAs and their biological functions.
