What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gameplay benefit aside from making it easier to find and buy upgrades.

In addition to the stat increases, some upgrades will also provide a random boost. item upgrades can be quite valuable and should be considered when deciding which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such as Whistan's shield in FB sorcs) while others can provide significant value to certain collectors.

Certain items come with inherent boo that is less effective when upgraded, for example the Goldwrap which provides more slots for potion. They are often upgraded to add more value to a nearly perfect item.

Costs

There are a few costs related to upgrades of items. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. The cost is based on the item's new ilvl and the number of perks it gains, and can be expensive. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. The items used are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and up) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable through completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials are available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it can take as long as 8 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the item's new ilvl, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important statistics. In certain cases the upgrade can grant additional benefits that can be chosen from a list of available perks.

Rarely, the new benefits acquired will cost more than one perk slot to acquire In these instances the upgrade will replace the perks with the highest cost. The upgrader can also make other adjustments to the item, for example, changing its weapon damage type or eliminating an operational or unwieldy feature. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl, and may require special materials, for instance the adamantine.

Success Rate

Item upgrades are based on a chance, and like every random system, there's a chance that the upgrade won't be successful. There are a few ways to increase the chances of success. This includes using an Upgrade Pity or the addition extra materials to your upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity is available from the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of an upgrade succeeding by some percentage. It's similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer, but it is more secure. It can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used up to three times.

You can also add other materials to the upgrade to increase its chances of success. These are displayed in a separate window, above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can upload is shown directly above the + button.


Another method to increase the odds of an upgrade succeeding is by using an item called the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is useful if you have a weapon or piece of equipment that is at the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. It allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next level without worrying about it breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful, the system will be restored to its original state. This is often an upgrade, but it could also be an upgrade. It is an excellent idea to save upgrades for when you're near the highest level of an item, and then use it as a last resort.

Kafra has a number of items that can be utilized in order to increase the likelihood of an upgrade being successful. The arrows on the left of the UI indicate the various steps during the upgrade process. Click the question mark icon to seek help if you are unsure what you're doing. The upgrade can take up five minutes.
