Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations that are applied.

The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capability in PvP or provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to reroll a purchased item, such as an armor, weapon or rings. This allows you to swap the item for another of the same type with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. They don't keep the original equipment's condition, and any resources wasted will not be refunded.

The survivors can get Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in chests and crates or buy them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attributes of the equipment for example, increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.

Players can reroll their equipment in three aspects that include physical power, magical power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage that melee and weapons, while spell power boosts mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player additional health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to higher quality. To make them, you require an upgrade level token to reroll. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require items that are either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens placed on action spaces stays on the spot until the next success is being rerolled. This is a way to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.

Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the start of every Preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by pressing on them. Once they are open they show a complete description and an icon for the relevant appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's store will trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.

This means that blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This alters the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop sells to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These stones are special stones which increase the value of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. To upgrade their gear players first need to identify the appropriate item, and then click on the "level up" button. This will show a list of the item's level, and what it will be after being upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires only one blue or green Growth Stone.

After choosing the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a certain percentage. Based on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item. This makes it an ideal way for players to gain an advantage in combat without putting stress on their bank accounts. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new piece of gear.

New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are several ways to acquire the stones. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the base stats of weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will be upgraded to an upgrade to a higher level. This process continues until the item reaches its highest level.

Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be added to more than one item at the same time. Each upgrade component requires the purchase of a certain amount of items and a minimum level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add an item that they wish to upgrade. On the right side, a preview shows what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Once the player has enough items, pressing the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will be increased by only a tiny amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

When upgrade item reaches its maximum level that it can no longer have the option to upgrade. Also, when an item reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to that track will come with discounted prices.

Upgrade components are a type of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to give an extra effect or attribute bonus while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by acquiring new ones. However, this could ruin the previous upgrade.

Requirements

Upgrades to items give players the ability to increase certain stats on weapons and armor they currently have. The requirements to upgrade an item differ based on the item type, but typically you'll need Dilithium and a number of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).

Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This gives them extra effects or an increased level of the item. These upgrades can be obtained from many sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is placed in an item it isn't able to be removed or substituted without restriction, however the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped without restrictions.


Upgrades can increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity. Some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can boost the item's stats.

For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and also gives an additional 20% chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.

Upgrades can be beneficial to certain items, but they are not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they achieve a perfect roll. When you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item the game will display a pop-up window that shows the necessary requirements.
