Upgrades can sometimes increase the power of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied.

The most powerful racial Shield Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP or provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens can be an economical method of upgrading equipment. They don't maintain the original equipment's condition and any money wasted will not be refunded.

Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors via a variety of methods like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attribute of a piece equipment such as increasing its damage.

Players can roll their equipment into three aspects three categories: physical power, magic power, and health. Physical power increases the damage caused by melee and weapons while spell power improves mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with an extra health.

There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To produce them, you need an upgrade level token to reroll. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require items that are either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can boost the stats of the item.
