ADHD Assessments
Prepare for an ADHD screening by obtaining medical and school records. You may also have to interview family members and other people who know the person well.
To be diagnosed with ADHD individuals of all ages must have various symptoms that begin in childhood (technically before age 12). A thorough evaluation involves an examination of the body, an interview with patient, and a review of school records from before.
1. Family History
Getting an ADHD assessment is the first step toward treatment. Adults who suspect they have symptoms of the disorder should seek advice from their primary physician for the referral to a health care professional who can conduct ADHD assessments for adults.
