Item upgrades are a key aspect of preparing your character. Upgrades boost damage to items and enchantments.


They also offer bonus effects and enhancements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.

The upgrade button is available on any item. Each recycled item adds a level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapons

When a weapon gets upgraded, it gets an initial damage bonus as well as an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. Some upgrade components have cosmetic effects and others provide additional benefits. These upgrades can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, or gathering tools. Most require the equipment to have an available upgrade slot and meet certain requirements. The upgrade component can be removed from an armored weapon, weapon, or trinket, but it cannot be replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be recovered through the Black Lion Salvage Kit Ascended Salvage tool, or a high-tier salvaging tool on an item.

A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that improves certain stats, like Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is done through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. This can be repeated four times, based on weapon level.

After the weapon has reached its maximum level of improvement and is then reforged to add different effects and bonuses or to boost specific stats. Many of these upgrades can be applied at once, and the effects vary depending on the quality of the weapon.

There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area and Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones for modifying the type of damage that a weapon inflicts.

In general, it's best to improve your weapon's damage first. Then, you can upgrade your armour defense and finally the secondary stats required by your build. It is not unusual to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon before upgrading other equipment. This can help increase DPS. This is particularly relevant to enchantments that can be extremely efficient in increasing a weapon's damage and other stats.

Armor

Item Upgrades allow players to increase the effectiveness of certain weapons, armors trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades may also provide additional effects, for example, more damage or cosmetic enhancement. Item Upgrades can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, loot drop or as rewards for quests.

The quality of armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. Most armor will upgrade to the next level after an upgrade. This is the case for any type of armor, though certain types of armor cannot be upgraded at all (such as the armor that is used as a starter in Great Sky Island).

In addition to increasing the defense of an item, a few upgrades also provide special abilities that can be activated when wearing an armor. These abilities can be helpful in combat, such as giving a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades also offer passive effects, such as reducing the amount of damage that is taken when wearing armor, or giving you a the ability to deflect attacks.

Upgrades to armor can require multiple attempts, depending on the type of armor. If a player wishes to upgrade Steelclash armor to Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt would result in an Dragonscale armor that has an initial defense range of between 67 and 77.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do this players must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to the power of a fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.

Contrary to popular opinion, armor in The Division 2 is not useful. Certain armors provide a significant boost in the reduction of damage caused by poison spells, curses, magic or fire. This makes them very useful for certain types of builds. There are other ways to increase the stats of armor beyond the use of upgradeable armor, such as the engineer trait to boost armor penetration or the challenger trait that reduces the weight of the entire armor.

Potion

By placing a potion on the brewing stand, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new tier of potion effects, and can be re-used to increase the potency.

The potion also gains a custom color code, which the player can choose by using /give. This alters the area-of-effect clouds and arrows created by the potions. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color of the potion also affects the potions' particle effects.

The water bottle, a common thick and awkward potions now have a new texture of brewing. In the Creative Inventory the potion healing and weakness are now available. The potions are lingering and can be prepared using splash potions or dragon breath and a thick pot with the status effect of Mining Fatigue (duration 4 hours). Trinket

A trinket could be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. This can be a necklace, ring or even a tiny flag that is used to identify a boat's yard that is lateen. It could also refer to the trinket with gilded gold that is fixed to the mast of a vessel.

This macabre trinket is believed to be influencing the denizens of this maze and making them more popular. At the moment, this trinket makes all kinds of mimic Xx more common and gives every floor a Y% chance to have an ebony mimic. Upgrades to this trinket require an amount of energy.

The magic of the enchanted Scepter appears to alter the dungeon's environment, increasing its likelihood of producing water and grass. This trinket, at its current level, will cause X% of the regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It doesn't affect glyphs, enchantments or cursed weapons or armor or items that are produced to aid in the elimination of the dangers in rooms.

While it looks like a normal newt's eye, this mysterious object appears to be affecting your vision in ways that go beyond merely reducing your field of view. This trinket, in its current level, boosts the health benefits of drinking healing potions and wells of life by X%, and gives you mind-sight on enemies within the Y tile. This is not a stacking feature with the Heightened Senses.

After you have completed the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by beating Monsters and inside chests and crates within Skull Cavern. They are not in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

Place the trinket in the Anvil when it needs to be upgraded. This will affect the trinket that is random that will either enhance or intensify its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as often as you want, but it will always be able to produce an effect that is new.

You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy and increase the power of the trinket by only a tiny amount.
