ADHD Assessments
Prepare for the ADHD screening by obtaining the information from your medical and school records. You may have to speak with the person's family and other people who know them.
For people of any age to be diagnosed with ADHD they must display a range of signs that first appeared in the early years of their life (technically, before the age of 12). A thorough evaluation includes physical examination, an interview with patient and an examination of school records from before.
1. Family History
The first step in treatment is to obtain an ADHD assessment. Adults who suspect symptoms of the condition can seek advice from their primary physician for a referral to an expert in health care who can conduct ADHD assessments for adults. 4. Educational Evaluation
