World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrading of your equipment is an essential element of equipping your character. Upgrades boost damage to items and enchantments.
They also offer bonuses and enhancements. They are available through the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds a level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapon
If a weapon is upgraded, it will gain a base damage bonus and a scaling factor which affects other stats. upgrade item upgrade components have cosmetic effects, while others offer additional benefits. These upgrades can be put into armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools, and they generally require the equipment to have an available upgrade slot and meet certain specifications. The upgrade component can be removed from the weapon, armor or trinket, but it will not be replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be retrieved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, Ascended Salvage tool, or a high-tier salvaging tool for an item.
In addition to the basic upgrades, a weapon may be upgraded by adding an attribute called Calibration that increases certain stats like Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This can be done through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon the process can be repeated up to four times.
Once the weapon is at the maximum level of upgrade, it may be reforged with a number of different types of upgrades to increase certain stats or add bonuses and effects. All of these upgrades can be used simultaneously and their effects will differ based on how rare the weapon is.
Two Blacksmiths can perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones for modifying the type of damage that a weapon inflicts.
It is generally advised to improve weapon damage first, followed by armour defense, and then the other secondary stats as required by your build. In particular, it's common to see melee druids upgrade their weapon prior to any other gear, since this helps maximise DPS. This is especially true for enchantments, which can be very effective in boosting a weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item upgrades allow players to boost the stats of certain armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades can also give additional effects, such as additional damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item upgrades are available through crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors or loot drops, or as quest rewards.
Armor can be improved by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. In the majority of cases an item of armor can be upgraded to the next level after an upgrade is applied. This can be done for all types of armor, though some items cannot be upgraded in any way (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island).
The majority of armor upgrades boost the strength or defense of an item by only a tiny amount. However, certain upgrade components can offer significant improvements in defense or strength, particularly when upgrading an epic item.
In addition to enhancing the defense base of an item, certain upgrades also provide special abilities that can be activated while wearing an armor. These abilities can be helpful in combat, for instance granting a buff to attack speed or blocking. Some upgrades also provide useful passive effects, like cutting down on the amount of damage taken when wearing armor, or giving you a a chance to dodge attacks.
Depending on the type of armor being used, upgrading an item could require several tries. If a player wishes to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has the defense base ranging from 59 to 67. The second attempt will result in a Dragonscale armor with a base defense of 67-77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players to upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do so it is necessary to visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations contains a powerful fair who can upgrade a piece of armor for you.
Contrary to what many believe it isn't a necessity in The Division 2. Certain armors give a substantial boost to the reduction of damage caused by poison or curse, magic or fire. This makes them beneficial for certain builds. There are many other ways to increase the strength of armor apart from upgrading armor, such as using the engineer trait to increase armor penetrating or the challenger trait to decrease the total weight.
Potion
By putting a potion in the stand for brewing, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a brand new level of potion effect and can be repeated to unlock more potency levels.
The potions also get an individual color, which can be chosen by the player using /give. The color affects the area-of-effect clouds as well as the arrows generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color code of the potion is also applied to the effects of the potion's particle effects.
The water bottle, a common potions that are thick and awkward now have a new texture for brewing. In the Creative Inventory potion healing and weakness are now available. Addition of lingering potions, which can be made by using splash potions or Dragon breath. Additionally, there is a thick potion that has the status effect of Mining Fatigue. Issues relating to this update can be tracked on the Bug Tracker.
Trinket
A trinket is an inexpensive piece of jewelry. It can be a necklace or ring. It could also be a small banner used to mark the yard of a lateen boat. It can also be an gilded trinket attached to the mast of a boat.
This macabre trinket appears to be influencing the residents of this maze by making them more common. This trinket, at its current level makes all kinds of Xx of mimics more common and gives every floor an Y% chance that it contains an ebony copy. Upgrades to this trinket will cost a small amount of energy.
The magic of the enchanted scepter is believed to influence the dungeon and making it more likely to create water and grass. This trinket at the current level, will cause X% of the regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It doesn't affect glyphs, enchantments or cursed weapons or armor, or items that are generated to help solve the dangers in rooms.
This item, which appears like eyes of a newt, seems to affect your vision in a way that goes beyond simply decreasing your field of view. At its current level this trinket boosts the overall health benefits of drinking potions of healing, waterskins, and wells of health by X% and gives you eyesight on enemies within Y tiles. This is not a stacking feature with the Heightened Senses.
Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after you have completed the Mastery Cave. You will find them when you defeat Monsters and chests and crates. They are not available in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
Place the trinket into the Anvil whenever it is required to be upgraded. This will have an effect on the trinket which is random and will either increase or strengthen its effects. You can reorge the Trinket multiple times as often as you want, though it will always have an impact that is different from the one it was when you made it.
You can upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy and increase the trinket's power by a small amount.
