Upgrades can sometimes increase the stats of a piece and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations are made available.


The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens are a way to reroll an item you have acquired, such as a weapon, armor or rings. This swaps the current item for another of the same type with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they do not retain the same level as the original item, and any wasted resources aren't refunded.

The survivors can get tokens to reroll in many ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests or purchase them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attributes of a piece of equipment for example, increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.

Players can roll their equipment using three categories: physical power, magic power, and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage that weapons and melee attacks, while spell power boosts rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player an additional amount of health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available such as upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a better quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

In contrast to other special tokens and markers that are placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays on the space until the next success result is rerolled. item upgrading allows you to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Stage, and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. These stones can also be obtained by players who sign daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment to upgrade gear, players must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". The menu will be displayed showing the item's current level and what it will be when being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.

After deciding on the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. When the requirements have been fulfilled, the player may then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process is completely risk-free and does not affect the durability of the item. This makes the system an ideal way for players to gain an advantage in battle without straining their accounts. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new piece of gear.

The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for new players. There are a variety of methods to get the stones. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that lets you increase the power of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It is accomplished by adding upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will consume the upgrade materials and give the item a higher level, granting the item an additional boost in that particular area. The process will continue until the item reaches its maximum level.

Items that have upgraded stats will display an icon of blue next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be applied to more than one item at the same time. Furthermore, each upgrade component will require a certain number of items to be used in addition to an initial amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the first is where players can put in a piece of equipment to be upgraded, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when a player has sufficient materials will begin the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small amount. The maximum level for an item is 19.

When an item reaches its maximum level that it can no longer have the option of upgrading. Likewise, once an item reaches an upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that is able to be inserted into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools to give an additional effect or bonus while the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained by completing quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be changed by acquiring new ones. However, this will cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.

Requirements

Item upgrades give players the ability to boost certain attributes of weapons and armor they currently have equipped. The requirements to upgrade an item will vary based on the item type however, generally you'll require Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).

The items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to equipment and weapons. These will provide more effects or an improved quality of the item. The upgrades can be acquired from a variety of sources within the game, including through crafting, purchased at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade element is added to an item, it can't be removed and changed without restriction, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without limitation.

Upgrades can boost the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. Some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can improve the stats of the item.

For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and also adds an extra 20% chance of blocking. The DPS "Wildfire" on the other hand increases damage to weapons.

Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get a perfect roll. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for instance, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and can be worth up to 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.
