Feminine Sex Perform In the COVID-19 Crisis in the United States.
Kidney transplantation is unique method of renal replacement therapy, allowing to improve quality and duration of life for patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 (DM1) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) on dialysis therapy. Recently using of innovation technologies for diabetes management and modern immunosuppression enable achieving better results of posttransplant rehabilitation for patients with DM1, especially if kidney transplantation is performed early after initiation of dialysis. Detailed examination of patient with DM1 before potential kidney transplantation is very important to reduce of early and late postoperative complications. Kidney transplantation preparation includes effective glycemic control, adequate dialysis therapy, treatment of diabetes and ESRD complications and concomitant conditions, especially cardiovascular diseases, accounting for kidney transplantation perspective. Furthermore, diagnostics and treatment of any infectious process, timely vaccination, cancer screening are basic approaches of kidney transplantation preparation program, providing the best survival rate of kidney graft and patient.Idiopathic hypercalciuria is a heterogeneous generalized disorder caused by various defects in calcium transport and increased urinary calcium excretion. The main etiopathogenetic factors are violations of vitamin D metabolism, changes in the sensitivity of calcitriol receptors and violations of the processes of calcium reabsorption in the proximal tubules and in the ascending knee of the Henle loop. This article presents a clinical observation of patient with idiopathic hypercalciuria, initially high levels of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in the absence of hyperparathyroidism. Therapy with thiazide diuretics allowed to achieve normalization of daily urinary calcium excretion and reducing PTH. Despite the low prevalence of idiopathic hypercalciuria, differential diagnosis of this metabolic disorder should be carried out with mandatory consideration of clinical and laboratory data, as well as with diseases that may cause increased PTH production.Bilateral macronodular adrenal hyperplasia (BMAH) is a rare cause of Cushing's syndrome. In this case cortisol production can be regulated by both genetic factors and various molecular mechanisms. The presence of aberrant or overexpression of eutopic receptors on the membrane of adrenal cortex may lead to activation of cAMP/PKA signaling pathways and consequently, pathological stimulation of steroidogenesis. Since proving the effectiveness of unilateral adrenalectomy in BMAH by achievement of stable remission, preoperative clinical and laboratory tests (ligand-induced tests) are no longer of relevant. Auranofin Nevertheless, in the absence of normalization of the level of cortisol in the postoperative period or its recurrence, subsequent specific targeted medical options can be offered only if expression/hyperexpression predominance of one or another receptor. Their detection becomes possible using more reliable diagnostic methods such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and immunohistochemical studies (IHC) than clinical laboratory tests. At the moment, PCR has gained a wider application. This article summarizes data on the use of immunohistochemical study in BMAH.Viruses that are pathogenic to humans and livestock pose a serious epidemiological threat and challenge the world's population. The SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 pandemic has made the world aware of the scale of the threat. The surfaces of various materials can be a source of viruses that remain temporarily contagious in the environment. Few polymers have antiviral effects that reduce infectivity or the presence of a virus in the human environment. Some of the effects are due to certain physical properties, e.g., high hydrophobicity. Other materials owe their antiviral activity to a modified physicochemical structure favoring the action on specific virus receptors or on their biochemistry. Current research areas include gluten, polyvinylidene fluoride, polyimide, polylactic acid, graphene oxide, and polyurethane bound to copper oxide. The future belongs to multi-component mixtures or very thin multilayer systems. The rational direction of research work is the search for materials with a balanced specificity in relation to the most dangerous viruses and universality in relation to other viruses.Pathogenic viral factors pose a serious epidemiological threat and challenge to the world population, as proven by the scale and rapidity of COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. Polymer macromolecules can be an alternative to the accepted forms of treatment. Polymeric substances can be used as drugs or as adjuvants in vaccines. The most important feature of polymers is their advanced structure and the ability to construct the molecule from scratch, giving it the desired properties. Antiviral properties are influenced by, among other things, electrical charge, form and structure, and composition with other polymers or heavy metals. Depending on the expected properties, molecules can be built from scratch to be capable of transporting drugs or improve the effectiveness of the right drug. They can also be antiviral drugs in themselves. Polymeric compounds allow to reduce the frequency of adverse effects and improve the effect of the drug. They can have a direct antiviral effect by upsetting the lipid membrane of the surrounding viruses. Antiviral action of polymers occurs because of the properties of the polymers alone or in combination with other molecules. Viral epidemics are a motivation for research that can help stop a global pandemic in the future.
Daily oral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is available and recommended for men who have sex with men (MSM) at risk for HIV infection. Other HIV prevention products are being developed, including long-acting injectable (LAI) and event-based oral and topical formulations. Understanding preferences for potential products by MSM can help direct further development of prevention messaging.

We present baseline data from HIV-negative participants enrolled in the US Mobile Messaging for Men (M-cubed) Study. Participants were asked their likelihood of and rank order preference for using daily oral PrEP and various potential prevention products (one- to -three-month injections, 2-1-1 sexual event oral dosing, anal or penile gel, or anal suppository), and their sociodemographic characteristics. Bivariate and multivariable logistics regression assessed demographic associations with likelihood of use and rank order preference.

Overall, most MSM reported a likelihood of using LAI (74%), sexual event-based pills (67%) and penile gel (64%).
