Phytopathogen carried through place in order to human being creating peritoneal dialysis-associated peritonitis.
Furthermore, the nonlinear relationship between the primary factors and their interaction factors enhanced soil contamination by the heavy metals. Among the anthropogenic factors, landscape pattern enhanced Pn the most when interacting with natural factor. In addition, the buffer zone should be considered when evaluating the effects of factors such as land use and landscape pattern, because the interactions between landscape pattern and slope aspect produce a maximum effect, accounting for 31.0% of the Pn value on the scale of 800 m. Based on this analysis, we identified the key factors of heavy metal pollution in the soils of Zhangzhou City and proposed strategic procedures for effective soil pollution prevention and treatment in the future. To optimize the swine wastewater (SWW) treatment, this study investigated different hydraulic retention times (HRTs) for microalgae cultivation. For this purpose, five pilot-scale reactors operated in semi-continuous flow, with HRTs equal to 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 days were evaluated in terms of SWW polishing and biomass production. The effluent treatment was discussed accompanied by principal component analysis, which allowed identification of causes of variance in the data set, ideal for studies with real effluent and influenced by environmental conditions. All reactors show satisfactory removals of N-NH4+ (91.6-95.3%), COD (15.8-39.9%), DO increment (in average 7.5 mg O2/L) and, only the longest HRT (21 days) was able to remove Ps (21%). The results obtained indicated that a consortium of microalgae and bacteria was developed for all the tested HRTs. On the other hand, HRT = 12 days provided a healthier culture of photosynthesizing organisms (chl-a/VSS = 3.04%). Carbohydrates (20.8-31.3%) and proteins (2.7-16.2%) were the compounds of commercial interest in the highest proportion in the biomass of all reactors, with contents comparable to that of terrestrial crops. Thus, it was suggested a valorization route of these compounds of high added value to return to pig farming, where the nutrients were intended to supplement the swine feed and clarified water for cleaning the pig stalls. Thus, in the circular economy context, this research contributes to water footprint reduction and the sustainability of the pig farming production chain. The economic and environmental analysis of the route is suggested to enable its implementation on a large scale, as well as further technical feasibility research (reactor types, exposure to external environment, evaluation of pathogen removal and animal feed supplementation from SWW microalgae biomass).Ecuador's Galapagos Islands and their unique biodiversity are a global conservation priority. We explored the presence, composition and environmental drivers of plastic contamination across the marine ecosystem at an island scale, investigated uptake in marine invertebrates and designed a systematic priority scoring analysis to identify the most vulnerable vertebrate species. Beach contamination varied by site (macroplastic 0-0.66 items·m-2, microplastics 0-448.8 particles·m-2 or 0-74.6 particles·kg-1), with high plastic accumulation on east-facing beaches that are influenced by the Humboldt Current. Local littering and waste management leakages accounted for just 2% of macroplastic. Microplastics (including anthropogenic cellulosics) were ubiquitous but in low concentrations in benthic sediments (6.7-86.7 particles·kg-1) and surface seawater (0.04-0.89 particles·m-3), with elevated concentrations in the harbour suggesting some local input. Microplastics were present in all seven marine invertebrate species examined, found in 52% of individuals (n = 123) confirming uptake of microplastics in the Galapagos marine food web. Priority scoring analysis combining species distribution information, IUCN Red List conservation status and literature evidence of harm from entanglement and ingestion of plastics in similar species identified 27 marine vertebrates in need of urgent, targeted monitoring and mitigation including pinnipeds, seabirds, turtles and sharks.Tenebrio obscurus (Coleoptera Tenebrionidae) larvae are capable of biodegrading polystyrene (PS) but their capacity for polyethylene (PE) degradation and pattern of depolymerization remains unknown. This study fed the larvae of T. obscurus and Tenebrio molitor, which have PE degrading capacity, two commercial low-density PE (LDPE) foams i.e., PE-1 and PE-2, with respective number-average molecular weights (Mn) of 28.9 and 27.3 kDa and weight-average molecular weights (Mw) of 342.0 and 264.1 kDa, over a 36-day period at ambient temperature. The Mw of residual PE in frass (excrement) of T. obscurus, fed with PE-1 and PE-2, decreased by 45.4 ± 0.4% and 34.8 ± 0.3%, respectively, while the respective decrease in frass of T. molitor was 43.3 ± 0.5% and 31.7 ± 0.5%. Data analysis showed that low molecular weight PE (10.0 kDa) were broken down or cleaved, indicating a broad depolymerization pattern. Mass balance analysis indicated nearly 40% of ingested LDPE was digested to CO2. Antibiotic suppression of gut microbes in T. molitor and T. Deoxycholicacidsodium obscurus larvae with gentamicin obviously reduced their gut microbes on day 15 but did not stop depolymerization because the Mn, Mw and size- average molecular weight (Mz) decreased. This confirmed that LDPE biodegradation in T. obscurus was independent of gut microbes as observed during previous PS degradation in T. molitor, suggesting that the intestinal digestive system could perform LDPE depolymerization. High-throughput sequencing revealed significant shifts in the gut microbial community during bran-fed and unfed conditions in response to LDPE feeding in both Tenebrio species. The respective predominant gut genera of Spiroplasma sp. and Enterococcus sp. were observed in LDPE-fed T. molitor and T. obscurus larvae.Open biomass burning (OBB) plays an important role in air pollution and climate change by releasing short-term but intensive amounts of particulate matter and gaseous air pollutants. During past years, policies with respect to prohibition on open straw burning have been issued in China in order to mitigate the air pollution problems and the effectiveness of these straw burning bans in different regions remains to be evaluated. In this study, open crop straw burning (OCSB) emissions during 2010-2018 were analyzed based on a commonly used emission inventory with high spatial and temporal resolution. High emissions concentrated over Northeast China (31.8% of national total PM2.5 emissions in 2018), East China (24.0%), and North China (16.6%). Simulations based on an integrated meteorology-air quality modeling system and an exposure-response function show that OCSB emissions could increase monthly PM2.5 concentration by as much as 10 μg/m3 during burning seasons in Northeast China and were associated with 4741 premature deaths in 2018.
