Dear Kingslsle,
I have no idea if you are ever going to see this or even care about this but I have a little story to tell about your game. The reasons why I fell in love with this game the bonds it makes with people...
I remeber joining this game in 2009 like it was yesterday, I remeber seen my friend about my age about 6 playing wiz101 he showed me around, So as he let me fight a battle for him, I fell in a deep love for this game. Next thing you know i quickly came home, Grabbed my mothers laptop loaded up the website (www.wizard101.com) Clicking the play now butten. Asking my mom if i could use her email to sign up for the game. She allowed it and when i told my friend that i signed up he said you should get a bundle to get a great head start on the game. I asked if i could get it, They said yes (First bundle KI ever came out with) I have one memory of the game that i will never forget, I was on the game wiz101 so happy to be playing it, being in firecat ally about to use the spell Evil snowman. Fill with the little kid excitement to see it, pop it up from the ground to one shot mobs.
Fast forward a little bit about 2012 i'm moving into a new middle school for my 6th grade year, I know no one there. Please note i'm a very shy kid, doesn't talk much, just go to school do my work don't talk to anyone and go home and I would quickly speed walk home, hop on the game, forget that i was that kid that would never talk and be shy, I was someone else in the game, I was wolf strongeyes the max ice with the best gear in the game.
Around the middle of the school year I found how i have social anxiety. I couldn't walk the halls duing passing period, just thinking of hearing everyone judging me. I couldn't talk to anyone with just feeling super hot on my body, Just sweating and feeling myself finding hard to breath. I remeber telling myself i need to social to people around me. So i ended up overthinking to myself. So i asked my mother if i could get text chat so i can get social with someone else on a screen.
Things lead to another and i found myself talking to three of my closest friends. After a few months pass by ends up in the summer going to 7th grade, I would spend nights talking to those friends and doing dungeons with them. Trying to get the best gear at the time. moving time I found myself getting more social to people online on wiz101. But no in real life it just became worse everyday. School starts and flies by fast next you know its Nov 2013. I search wizard101 in the youtube wesite. I see the wizard101 road to 95 ep 1 with blue, I found myself waiting everyday for a new ep come up in my youtube feed. I see myself smiling in my darkest times. I use to love waking up to a new ep of Blaze lifehammer, Zen masterblue And who can forget Dakota Earthhorn. These people had a big impact on my life them and my friends. They are probbaly the only reason why i am here today....
The year is coming to a end, I found myself in the worse state i could of been in my life. I see myself not wanting to live, not talking to my family about any of this, Not even my close friends that i meet online, Kevin wild, Wolf wild, And luke. The one reason why i fell in deep depression, Was my Parents divorce, Finding myself just blaming me for every little flaw I found myself Staying in my room drowning myself in this game, Wizard101 and Youtube. One month into school, Found myself with pills in my left hand. Wanting to OD and end it all...But lucky i saw my phone go of, i go look at it, it was a text from my friend Wolf wild Saying "Dude we are all online lets go do hades :D" Right after i saw that i just started crying myself for hours on end. I remeber get online half that and just thanking my closest friends all millions. My friend Luke told me "Hey dude check out blaze lifehammer Walkthrough" I just told him Thank you so much.
Ending of 8th grade..Everything is at a awesome state, Met myself my Girl friend, Been with her for 5 months already since december, Still watching the videos from Blue, Blaze and Dakota. But tables turned quickly and i catch myself doing some pvp and all of a student it says someone logged into your account. It kicks me off of my own account... Trying to log in and never says anything. The person who got it changed everything. Messaging KI 3 times in a support email still no answer back :( Nothing to do but to watch my account get taken away is one of the worse feeling you could feel... Spending half of my life on it and watching it go all away. Spending more money than i could think of :/ I have all the info too it before it all got changed...
Thank you Blaze, Blue, Daktota, And a huge thank you to KI for helping me and making the friends i still love and talk to today... You are the reasons why i'm alive to this day
