All participants signed a written informed consent. They ranged in age from 17 to 65 years old. Participants who consented to participate were scheduled to be evaluated and the test was conducted in the clinics of the participating hospitals. The evaluation process included WAIS-IV, Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale fourth edition; BEARNI, Brief Evaluation of Alcohol-Related Neuropsychological impairment; FAB, Frontal Assessment Battery; MINI-S, Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview DSM-5 edition; and DDSI, Dual Diagnosis Screening Instrument.
Thirteen patients were found to be having ADHD and seven of them had a mood disorder. The remaining eight had a comorbid anxiety disorder. The ADHD cases appeared to be older and more educated than those with no ADHD and could have a more women.
