01). Conclusion There is a negative correlation between cervical functional disorder and cervical muscle strength in office workers, suggesting that strengthening cervical muscle strength may be a way to improve cervical spine function. Objective To explore the effect of emotional optimization of workplace employees in immersive virtual natural environment. Methods In July 2020, 15 subjects were selected to complete two groups of treadmill walking training experiments in virtual natural environment and daily environment respectively. At the same time, the subjects' skin electrical (EDA) , pulse frequency (Pf) , respiratory frequency (Rf) physiological data and Self-Assessment Manikin (SAM) data before and after walking were collected; the mean value of three dimensions of SAM and the emotion difference before and after the experiment were calculated. The differences of physiological indexes and subjective mood changes of subjects were tested by paired sample t-test. Results Compared with the daily environment, the ΔEDA, ΔPf and ΔRf of the subjects in the virtual natural environment were all decreased , and the differences were statistically significant (P less then 0.05). There were statistically significant differences in pleasure and arousal between subjects before and after using the virtual natural environment (P less then 0.05). Compared with the daily environment, the Δpleasure degree of subjects using the virtual natural environment increased, and the Δarousal degree and Δdominance degree decreased, and the differences were statistically significant (P less then 0.05). Conclusion Walking in virtual natural environment can help subjects improve their mood, relax and improve the regulation ability of autonomic nervous system. Objective To explore the association between occupational noise exposure and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in a large Chinese population. Methods In December 2019, the study included 21412 retired participants from the Dongfeng-Tongji Cohort Study at baseline from September 2008 to June 2010, occupational noise exposure was evaluated through workplace noise level and/or the job titles. In a subsample of 8931 subjects, bilateral hearing loss was defined as a pure-tone mean of 25 dB or higher at 0.5, 1 , 2, and 4 kHz in both ears. Logistic regression models were used to explore the association of occupational noise exposure, bilateral hearing loss with 10-year CVD risk. Results Compared with participants without occupational noise exposure, the 10-year CVD risk was significantly higher for noise exposure duration ≥20 years (OR=1.20, 95%CI1.01-1.41 , P=0.001) after adjusting for potential confounders. In the sex-specific analysis, the association was only statistically significant in males (OR=2.34, 95%CI 1.18-4.66, P less then 0.001) , but not in females (OR=1.15, 95%CI0.97-1.37, P=0.153). In the subsample analyses, bilateral hearing loss, which was an indicator for exposure to loud noise, was also associated with a higher risk of 10-year CVD (OR= 1.17, 95% CI1.05-1.44, P less then 0.001) , especially for participants who were males (OR =1.24, 95% CI1.07-2.30, P less then 0.001) , aged equal and over 60 years old (OR=2.30, 95%CI 1.84-2.88, P less then 0.001) , and exposed to occupational noise (OR=1.66, 95%CI 1.02-2.70, P=0.001). Conclusion Occupational noise exposure may be a risk factor for CVD.Objective To screen the differential methylation sites, genes and pathways of air pollution fine particles (PM(2.5)) on human bronchial epithelial (HBE) cells by methylation chip and bioinformation technology, so as to provide scientific basis for further study of the toxicological mechanism of PM(2.5) on HBE cells. Methods In August 2020, HBE cells were infected with 10 μg/ml and 50 μg/ml PM(2.5) aqueous solution for 24 h, namely PM(2.5) 10 μg/ml exposure group (low dose group) and PM(2.5) 50 μg/ml exposure group (high dose group) ; uninfected HBE cells were used as control group. The DNA fragments were hybridized with the chip, the chip scanned and read the data, analyzed the data, screened the differential methylation sites, carried out GO analysis and KEGG analysis of the differential methylation sites, and analyzed the interaction relationship of the overall differential methylation sites by functional epigenetic modules (FEMs). Results Compared with the control group, 127 differential methylation sites lysis. Conclusion After PM(2.5) exposure to HBE cells, the DNA methylation level is significantly changed, and genes related to apoptosis and carcinogenesis are screened out, suggesting that the carcinogenic mutagenic effect of PM(2.5) may be related to DNA methylation. Objective To investigate the effect and underlying mechanism of paeoniflorin on hippocampal neuron apoptosis induced by lead acetate. Methods In September 2020, primary hippocampal neuronal cells were isolated and cultured from fetal rats, and identified using cellular immunofluorescent. MTT assay was used to measure the cell viability to determine the concentration and time of lead acetate-induced hippocampal neuron apoptosis. PF-07321332 MTT was also used to evaluate the effect of paeoniflorin concentration on the apoptosis of hippocampal neurons induced by lead acetate. According to the results, different concentrations of paeoniflorin were selected to intervene hippocampal neuron cells, after 24 h, lead acetate was added to the cells, meanwhile, blank and model groups were set up, the content of reactive oxygen species (ROS) , superoxide dismutase (SOD) , lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) , malondialdehyde (MDA) and Caspase-3 were measured. Extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK) , phosphorylated ERK (p-ERK) , p38 mitoronal cells of the model group. Compared with the model group, the ROS activity, LDH release level, MDA content and caspase-3 content were obviously decreased (P less then 0.05) , SOD activity was significantly increased (P less then 0.01) after hippocampal neuronal cells were treated with 40 or 80 μmol/L paeoniflorin. Relative to the model group, the ratio of p-ERK/ERK were significantly up-regulated (P less then 0.01) , while the ratios of p-p38MAPK/p38MAPK and p-JNK/JNK were significantly down-regulated after hippocampal neuronal cells were treated with 40 or 80 μmol/L paeoniflorin (P less then 0.05) . Conclusion Paeoniflorin may down-regulate the expression of p-p38MAPK and p-JNK protein, up-regulate the expression of p-ERK protein, and inhibit the apoptosis of hippocampal neurons induced by lead acetate through the MAPK signaling pathway. Objective To observe the intestinal time-dependent changes in Parkinson's disease (PD) mouse model constructed by intraperitoneal injection of paraquat (PQ) and to establish the brain-gut axis connection initially. Methods In October 2019, 48 mice were randomly divided into treated group and control groups treated 4-week (P-4) group, treated 6-week (P-6) group, treated 8-week (P-8) group, control 4-week (C-4) group, control 6-week (C-6) group, and control 8-week (C-8) group. The treated group was injected with 15 mg/kg PQ solution and the control group was injected with 0.9% saline (0.2 ml/20 g) by intraperitoneal injection twice a week. After the initial state (0 weeks) and the treatment at the end of 4, 6 and 8 weeks, the mood changes and motor functions of mice were assessed by neurobehavioral tests (open field test, pole climbing test, tail suspension test and elevated plus maze test) . And the number of fecal pellets for 1 h and water content were calculated to assess the functional status of the gastroidel mice is reduced in a time-dependent manner. And on this basis, it is preliminary determined that the abnormal aggregation of α-syn may be an important substance connecting the brain-gut axis.We sought to determine whether racial and socioeconomic disparities in the utilization of deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's disease (PD) have improved over time. We examined DBS utilization and analyzed factors associated with placement of DBS. The odds of DBS placement increased across the study period, whereas White patients with PD were 5 times more likely than Black patients to undergo DBS. Individuals, regardless of racial background, with 2 or more comorbidities were 14 times less likely to undergo DBS. Privately insured patients were 1.6 times more likely to undergo DBS. Despite increasing DBS utilization, significant disparities persist in access to DBS. ANN NEUROL 2022;92246-254.Hemodiafiltration (HDF) is a renal replacement therapy that utilizes both diffusive clearance and convective transport to achieve greater clearance of middle-molecular-weight solutes. Among other factors, important prerequisites for the implementation of HDF include access to high-flux dialyzers, achievement of high blood flow rates, and availability of high volumes of sterile substitution/replacement fluids. Online hemodiafiltration (OL-HDF) is an established kidney replacement therapy, frequently used in many countries. Although in the United States, some prerequisites (e.g., access to high-flux dialyzers and achievement of high blood flow rates) for OL-HDF treatment are readily available; however, a machine capable of generating the online solution for OL-HDF is currently not available. As the clinical experience with HDF accumulates globally, it is worth examining the evidence for this kidney replacement therapy as used in routine clinical care. Such real-world evidence is increasingly recognized as valuable by clinicians and may inform regulatory decisions. In this review, we will focus on emerging global real-world data derived from routine clinical practices and examine how these data may complement those derived from clinical trials.
Australian occupational therapy practice in residential aged care facilities has been largely funded using the Aged Care Funding Instrument since March 2008. Literature indicates that the funding model constrains occupational therapy practice, impacting on therapists' and residents' experiences. In preparation for the implementation of the new funding model, the Australian National Aged Care Classification, it is timely to understand current practice. Therefore, the aim of this study was to explore occupational therapy practice in residential aged care facilities under the Aged Care Funding Instrument. The objectives were (1) to understand occupational therapists' experiences of working in residential aged care facilities under the Aged Care Funding Instrument; and (2) to explore occupational therapists' perceptions of how the Aged Care Funding Instrument influences residents' occupational performance and engagement.

A phenomenological research design was employed to understand therapists' perspectives. Densure future practice reflects the profession's unique knowledge and skills to optimise the health and wellbeing of residents.
Occupational therapists perceived that the Aged Care Funding Instrument restricts occupational therapy practice and prevents residents from living occupationally rich lives. With the introduction of the Australian National Aged Care Classification in late 2022, it is crucial that national associations and employers advocate to policymakers to ensure future practice reflects the profession's unique knowledge and skills to optimise the health and wellbeing of residents.
