Upgrading gear increases its stats base and often enhances its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations that are applied.

The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will receive a higher level. This process continues until the item reaches its maximum level.

Items with upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components don't stack with each other, but can only be added to a single item at one time. When you choose an upgrade component that you want to put into an item the game will show an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
