item upgrades of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example, a perfectly broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage as well as PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of their base. While this is generally a good thing but it can also have negative consequences too. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
Armor items can be upgraded to improve their performance. This will increase the defense base of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may reduce its value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading, as well as the relative value of those stats. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the item menu with the circling arrows. This will reroll an item and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which can make it easier to navigate through tough terrain. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has the more value you get from each point of health you have and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as possible.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and in order to unlock each one you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and completed the corresponding fountain, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to withstand the full-on assault with a few of your friends.
You can't upgrade your armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or spell power. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use for the final boss battle and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to gain some benefits to your armor. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have a few upgrades to the armor on your chest and helmets so that you can escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. In addition the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or the chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potions, right-click it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI which allows you to select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate unless you take it out again or break the bottle within which it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions, for example, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item. The potion table is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron drains the potion and refills the bottle.
Finally, there are simmering potions that are made using dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the effect can be extended by adding redstone. The table of potions has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added like the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but isn't essential such as a trinket. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items which can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing statistics.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket with as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as previous one, and will come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Once the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their highest priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment they won't replace in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when deciding which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm, and shoulders.
Once they have become useless trinkets are able to be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1percent bonus. A re-upgrade, however, can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying new ones.
