World of Warcraft Item Upgrade and Set Bonuses
The item upgrade is an enchantment that increases the base stats of certain armor or weapons. This includes tertiary statistics like Leech and Speed.
A special evolution item that allows Porygon to transform into Porygon2. This item can be found at Pokestops or Gyms.
Universal upgrades can be applied to any kind of equipment, and offer smaller bonuses than other components that are specific to the particular type of equipment.
Leveling
The upgrade system allows players to enhance their items by increasing their level. The increase in level also increases the item's "guaranteed" bonuses. Each level upgrade increases the stats on the item by +1 and gives an additional bonus based on the level of the item. These extras can range from a +1 up to +3 bonus, or random buffs or debuffs.
Each item is limited to a particular number of upgrades. After an upgrade, the item can be changed into a higher-tiered product that is of equal or greater value.
This system is helpful for those who want to acquire equipment with a certain level of stats prior acquiring the new item. The transfer system is very simple to use and allows the player to avoid wasting upgrade materials.
Upgrade materials can be gathered by a player as they provide clear content. They are then used to replace or improve an item. Each item requires a particular kind of upgrade material. Weapons require Destruction Stones, while armor requires Guardian or Harmony Leapstones. These materials are renamed when the item is upgraded, such as Stone Fragments become Stones and Harmony Shards become Life Shards.
It is important to upgrade items to increase the performance of a character. However item upgrading is equally important to think about how much it will cost. The cost of upgrading an item could be quite a bit of gold that could have been better spent on new equipment. This is why it's best to upgrade the most essential items in any given scenario.
This implies upgrading the weapon, then the chest, legs and helm. If the player is able to afford it upgrading trinkets must be considered at this point to increase their potential to trigger. For example, a high-end Throne of Thunder trinket may be worth upgrading due to the increased damage from its procs. Certain trinkets aren't worth upgrading until they can provide an upgrade that is important to a certain build. This is particularly applicable to breakpoint gear that is used to increase stats like IAS or FHR.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a mechanic that lets players change the stats of an armor, weapon or ring, based on the type. It can be used to replace bonuses or to create new ones. It also alters the base power of the item.
Rerolling is a great way to boost your strength in the initial stages however it's not essential. Once you hit your goal of upgrading to level 6, it's usually better to take a step back and locate the best upgrades that you can or save for the next group of items. This will ensure that you have a solid lineup by the time you hit the level 9 upgrade goal.
The rerolling system is very similar to that of the system of leveling up. Reroll tokens can be used to remove any Level Up option and replace it with another. Reroll tokens unlike Level Up do not reset the level of an item. This means that when you roll an upgraded item, it won't be at that level and won't have its added bonus.
In addition to rerolling, players may utilize a unique mechanism called Eliminate that allows them to eliminate any Level Up option from their equipment or weapons. This is useful when you've lost a gacha or need to roll an item that has five stars. To do this, you will need to create an account, or log in through social media.
In the same way, there is an Occultist in every town that can be visited to alter a weapon or armor's Aspects, stats, or attributes. This is useful if you want to enhance your epic five-star unit, or when your four-star elite character isn't working for you.
Another method to reroll an item is using the rerolling tokens that are earned by completing quests. These can be bought from the Occultist at 300 gold or in holozons, which are dropped in certain dungeons. You can reroll any weapon, armor, or ring simply by moving the icon on the page of your unit and locking the lock in the desired slot.
Sets
A set is a collection of items which have some commonality. Sets are utilized every day. For instance an egg dozen or a group of friends. They are helpful because they help you organize things, and operations like intersection, union and distinction help you to manage them effectively. Sets can be used in a variety of different ways, from organizing music in a playlist to classifying students by their grades.
In Nioh the game uses Sets to create special effects when players are wearing pieces of a set of armor. These bonuses are known as Set Bonuses and can be superior to Effects. While it is not explained in the universe why armor sets must be worn together in order to create these additional effects, they provide an interesting change of pace when playing the game. The armor sets that come with Set Bonuses are available in a variety of locations throughout Hyrule as well as the Dark Moon and Twilight Temple.
Set Bonuses are included with each piece of equipment that is part of the Set. You can find out the ones you are looking for by hovering over the item and examining the tooltip at the bottom. Set Bonuses are displayed in a box with the red border.
Some of these bonuses are exclusive to certain pieces of equipment. If you have the complete Phantom Armor set, you will be rewarded with +8 defense (instead of the standard +3 defense you get with most gear). Certain sets are only available by completing certain tasks or buying them from the Auction House.
It is also possible to acquire Set Bonuses on several pieces of equipment at the same time. For example, if you have the complete Kestra's Descent set and the matching parts of the Twinblade of Shadow you will be eligible for the + version that set's bonus when you soul meet it.
Set Bonuses remain the same, despite the equipment to which they are connected is upgraded. However, if an item is exemplared to levels that are not enough, the set bonus will cease working.
Set bonuses
Set bonuses are special effects that can appear on a set of equipment which can provide a boost in battle. They give a certain percentage of a particular attribute, such as defenses, weapon damage, or resistances. They do not stack however, only one of them will work at any given moment. The amount of a stat is determined by the number of pieces included in the set. For example, you can have four weapons and three chests but only one of them will be beneficial.
They usually enhance the primary stat however, some increase secondary stats too. Defence bonuses increase three positional defense values and two types of defenses, so for example the full five-piece set of Hundings Rage will add up to around 400 defenses in your gear. This is an impressive increase in the gear you use as a melee.
This is a very useful feature, and it appears to be among the more popular in the game. Currently only a few sets of gear are equipped with set bonuses. They are only available on the Test Realm. However, this number is expected to rise once the update is made available. The bonus will be added to the 7 school specific Dragoons equipment, for instance.
Set bonuses don't stack within a set, but they do stack across sets. This is ideal for players who wish to utilize the most optimal combination of sets. It does require some planning. Set bonuses only affect the shell (not the armoring or mods) of an piece of equipment, so you should be aware when putting them.
It is important to note that the value of the set's bonus won't change even if your exemplar level is more than three levels lower than the minimum allowed for an Enhancement. This rule does not apply to purple (Very rare) Sets PvP Sets, PvP Sets or Archetype Origin Sets. Their set bonuses are in effect regardless of exemplar level.
