Tips For Explaining Item Upgrade To Your Mom
Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The statistics of an item are enhanced by upgrading it, also referred to as "upping". Each upgrade increment increases the stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain a level gauge for each of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling items scales depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the power of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished through a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or increasing the rarity or mark level. In addition there are many items that can be reforged, which could increase their stats.

You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in all over the world and are rewards for missions. Players can also make them. Upgrade components are the primary way to upgrade equipment. These are the items that can slot into equipment. Most equipment has upgrade slots, and many require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others give an overall bonus.

There are a variety of upgrade components available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments can be placed in any equipment type and offer less bonuses than those that are equipment type specific. Glyphs can be placed in gathering tools and provide various bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed of the item's collection to providing additional crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, simply select it in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. This will display an overview on the right side of the screen, showing the expected stats after the upgrade, and any required components or materials. If you don't possess enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will show as Blocked.

The amount of upgrade components required for a given item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level of the upgrade and its rarity, however it can be reduced by many different methods, including purchasing upgrades at a merchant or trading them with other players.

Nearly all weapons can be upgraded using an upgrade to a prefix like an insignia, or a rune, and many are upgraded by suffix upgrades. These upgrades include an adjective in the item's name like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey information via visuals. They are animated to grab the viewer's eye and entice curiosity. The glyphs' animation mimics body language, making them even more effective in communicating messages across language barriers. Glyphs can also enhance the likelihood of remembering messages by creating a familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by certain amount. This is displayed on the item's page when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This range is not the actual amount at which the glyph will increase a stat, but the maximum amount it can do so. The value of the glyph depends on the tier and quality of the item that you are admiring.

Most upgrade components slotted into items can't be repaired or replaced without removing the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you don't want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove any glyph with the help of the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will cause the item to be destroyed within which it is placed, but you can recover the upgraded item using the glyph and its shards, therefore it should not be considered a loss.

Adding a glyph to an item can cause it to become unstable and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you dismantle the item. You can also add an inscription on your equipment to increase its value. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly instead of all at once. This can be helpful for players who take many hits from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to alter the affixes on weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from many sources, such as mystery boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player a random affix that is typically better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens can be used to boost the weapon's stats to increase damage or bonuses.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the upgrade menu, but they can still receive upgrades. These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button, which changes the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to recycle. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, which means items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits for upgraded units. Rerolls will roll a % chance to determine a weapon's trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be upgraded up to 3 times.

Rerolling is a great method to improve an item. However, players should be aware of the fact that the total ilvl is diminished by the number of that it took to reroll it to the final ilvl. This effect of lowering is most effective on Diadems and rings that do not have any other options for raising ilvls.

The system of rerolls has been criticised by players for being expensive, and it would be more equitable to let players pay for it using money or food items that allows players to modify their build without wasting time and energy. However the paid rerolls aren't something that the developers would like to implement at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning add a race change potion in the near future.

Leveling

There are item upgrader of ways to upgrade an item. The first way to level up an item upgrade is by increasing the amount of upgrade. This boosts the value of upgrading any stat. The second is to boost the effect of an upgrade, which increases the healing or damage of a given stat. Additionally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a higher upgrade type. Once this is done, the new item will keep its iLevel but it will be upgraded with the effects of the upgraded type of item.

It is crucial to remember that upgrades are random. In the majority of cases, a better roll is determined by glyphs. However there are occasions where a higher or more special roll could occur. In addition the iLevel of an upgrade will be determined by the item type which means that if you upgrade a rare or unique item to an extraordinary type it will have a chance to get an increased iLevel.

The cost of upgrading items can be expensive, particularly if you're upgrading a piece of gear from the normal to legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item will depend on the iLevel it's built upon and the amount of upgrade levels. Certain upgrade tracks require crests to be completed in order to move on to the next level.

If you're lucky, your upgraded item may reach the maximum level on its upgrade track and gain an additional effect. This will result in a significant increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect can change with each upgrade level though. In general, the upgrade effect is increased by +3.

Depending on the item's base level and its upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will also change. For instance the weapon that has been upgraded from a rare or exclusive item to an extraordinary item will have a chance to be upgraded to the enhanced defense of the new base type of item.
