We believe that the paper may be of interest to practicing veterinarians as well as to pharmaceutical scientists working or considering practice in the area.Most individuals living with and beyond cancer are not sufficiently active to achieve the health benefits associated with regular physical activity (PA). The purpose of this study was to describe the study protocol for a two-arm non-randomised comparison trial conducted within a community-based setting, which aimed to investigate the clinical effectiveness of a cancer-specific PA behaviour change (BC) intervention, namely MedEx IMPACT (IMprove Physical Activity after Cancer Treatment), compared to a general exercise rehabilitation programme, among survivors of cancer. Individuals who had completed active-cancer treatment who were referred to a community-based exercise rehabilitation programme were invited to participate in the trial. Participants in the control group (CG) attended twice-weekly supervised exercise classes for 12 weeks. Classes were delivered as part of a chronic illness exercise rehabilitation programme. Participants in the MedEx IMPACT intervention group (IG) also attended the twice-weekly supervised exercise classes for 12 weeks and received cancer-specific materials, namely an independent PA programme, 4 PA information sessions and a 11 exercise consultation. The primary outcome was PA levels measured by 6-day accelerometry and self-report PA. Secondary outcomes included cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), quality of life (QoL) and sedentary behaviour. Outcomes were measured at baseline and months 3, 6 and 12. Few effective PA BC interventions for individuals living with and beyond cancer have been identified. The results of this study will have implications for the planning and provision of community-based exercise oncology rehabilitation programmes for individuals living with and beyond cancer.

A series of GC materials was prepared from coconut shells by a green synthesis method. The process includes heating at four temperatures (T = 400, 600, 800 and 1000 °C) followed by an exfoliation process assisted by hydrochloric acid (HCl). These materials were characterized by wide- and small-angle x-ray scattering (WAXS and SAXS), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), x-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The WAXS analysis shows Braggs peaks corresponding to the reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-like phase. Investigations by FTIR and XPS methods show the presence of carbon-oxygen functional groups such as C=C (carbon with sp 2 hybridization), C-C (carbon with sp 3 hybridization), and C=O bonds. The sp 2 bonds form a 2-dimensional (2D) network in hexagonal lattice, while carbon with sp 3 bonds tends to form a 3-dimensional (3D) tetrahedral structure. The BET analysis revealed meso- and micro-pore structures in GC. Heating process reduces the specific surface area and increases pore size of GC. Moreover, increasing the heating temperature induces a decrease in radius of gyration (R g) and an increase in the formation of 2D structures in GC. The fitting results of SAXS profiles, proved by TEM and XPS, yielded the structure of GC containing the mixture of 2D and 3D structures. Thus, it is suggested that the GC has a mesostructure.

Thirty-two types of nanofluids in a combination of various nanoparticles and base fluids having different sizes, shapes, and solid concentrations of nanoparticles are chosen to examine the better performance of heat transfer. The circular boundary is cooled while the diameter boundary is heated with uniform/non-uniform temperature. An external uniform/non-uniform/periodic magnetic field is imposed along diameter. The powerful partial differential equations solver, finite element method of Galerkin type, has been engaged in numerical simulation. The numerical solution's heat transfer mechanism reaches a steady state from the unsteady situation within a very short dimensionless time of about 0.65. The thermal transport rate enhances for increasing buoyancy force whereas decreases with higher magnetic intensity. The uniform thermal condition along the diameter of half-moon gives a higher thermal transport rate compared to non-uniform heating conditions. The non-uniform magnetic field provides greater values of the mean Nusselt number than the uniform field. In addition, the outcomes also predict that a better rate of temperature transport for kerosene-based nanofluid than water-based, ethylene glycol-based, and engine oil-based nanofluid. The heat transfer rate is observed at about 67.86 and 23.78% using Co-Kerosene and Co-water nanofluids, respectively, with an additional 1% nanoparticles volume fraction. The blade shape nanoparticles provide a better heat transfer rate than spherical, cylindrical, brick, and platelet shapes. Small size nanoparticles confirm a higher value of average Nusselt number than big size. Mean Nusselt number increases 22.1 and 5.4% using 1% concentrated Cu-water and Cu-engine oil nanofluid, respectively than base fluid.
