The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft

Upgrades are new items that increase your stats. They can be used to upgrade trinkets, armor and weapons.

Item upgrades use a system called "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is meant to reduce chances of losing and provide an adequate safety net when upgrading.

Armor

The item upgrader allows players with the ability to upgrade the levels of their weapons, armor and trinkets. The upgrade is applied to gear when you visit an item upgrader NPC with the appropriate currency. The attributes of an item are also improved when upgrading it.

This NPC is found in every major city, and is located in the corner of the square near a teleport. The NPC can be utilized to upgrade any item of armor, weapon or trinket, except for items that require the completion of a quest or craft.

Note: The item you use to upgrade your gear is destroyed forever. You are not able to apply multiple upgrades to one piece. If you try to do so, the previous upgrade will be overwritten.

Upgrade your gear is a great method to maximize the use of your gear, and increase the damage, durability, and overall power. For instance, if have new Benthic gear from War Within Mythic Dungeon, it will be ilvl 385 by default, and can be upgraded to a higher level with [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades to PvE equipment are account-wide. Upgrades to your PvP equipment will require the use of a specific currency, such as [Valorstones] and [Harbinger Crests[Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional items of gear in the same armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade on that gear.

Weapons

Weapons are a crucial part of any successful character. They can be used to stop a murderous monster, kill an intruder or compete in a target shooting contest. Or they can simply be hung on the wall. Whatever way you decide to use a specific weapon, you must be aware that it's possible to upgrade it and change with your playstyle over time.

You can upgrade your weapon by visiting a blacksmith that has a workbench for weapons. The Blacksmith Hewg, which is located in the right part of the Roundtable Hold hub, is an excellent choice to upgrade your weapon. There is also an Smithing Master called Iji located at the "Road to the Manor" Site of Grace in the northwestern region of Liurna of the Lakes. Smithing Master Iji upgrades both armor and weapons.

As a rule upgrading an item will increase the weapon's level by 5. Azerite weapons (see below) or other special weapons will have their ilvl increase by 15 for all upgrades. A player can only have one active upgrade at any given moment. If you attempt to upgrade your weapon while another upgrade is being applied it will fail and your weapon will be returned to its original ilvl.

In addition to boosting the item level of a weapon, an upgrade will also grant it additional stats that can be used to enhance its power. Some of these improvements will be passive while others may provide increased damage, faster attack speed and increased range, or a greater strike chance.

Certain weapons can be upgraded to a higher level using an Ashes of War weapon, which is rewarded for defeating certain raid bosses. Whetblades are rare items which unlock new Affinities for weapons.

Once a weapon has been fully upgraded the weapon will continue to receive additional upgrades in the event that the player has the appropriate upgrade materials and currency in the table. You should be aware that weapons are only able to reach 25 ilvl, and not higher. This means that players should only upgrade their weapons after they've accumulated the maximum number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.

Trinkets


The Trinkets offer a variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded like other equipment by interacting with an Item Upgrader NPC.

You can find an item upgrade r in the town of Stardew Valley. To make use of it, you must un-equip any weapons or armor. Once you have done that it, the NPC will appear with the red "Equipped" banner above his head.
