World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.
If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.
In the endgame you'll find that the best way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced by a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can increase in price even if you do not need it.
If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrade s. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will have an initial level and a different set of bonus bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor, weapons, and trinkets) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition, which requires the player to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit attack damage, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will need to take every piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different upgrade ingredients.
