How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO
Upgrade is one of the most prized items in Pokemon GO. It lets trainers evolve Porygon into Porygon2 and also gives them the chance to grow in their Pokedex.
It is a rare item, however it can be obtained by spinning a Photo Disk at a Pokestop or as a prize during special events. What does this item actually do?
Components
Upgrade components are objects that can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, or gathering tools to provide an added bonus or effect when the item is utilized. They are an essential component in the crafting process and can be obtained by salvaging or buying from vendors. They can also be found in the form of drops, either from enemies or from item spheres. They can be used to upgrade any weapon or armor that has an upgrade slot.
Utilizing upgrade components to maximize the experience gained when upgrading equipment and weapons is essential to reach the highest level of progression in the game. Adding organic components to an upgraded item will increase the experience multiplier, while mechanical components will decrease it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will maximize your experience gain and enable you to move up the levels of equipment or weapon more accessible.
It's important to know how the upgrade system works to make the most of your upgrades. The system operates by keeping the experience total in a continuous manner for the item you're upgrading. Each component has an multiplier of experience that can be negative or positive. When the total reaches a certain threshold, it is reset to zero.
The amount of experience gained by each upgrade component could be affected by the item's hidden rank and its multiplier of experience. This means that the higher-ranked items are more difficult to upgrade, whereas less ranked items are easier to achieve.
It is crucial to take off all connections and fasteners that hold the old component. Save them for later use in an inventory tray for easy identification and safe-keeping. Once the new hardware is installed, reconnect any wires or cables and connect the power supply to the electrical power. Then test the computer by switching it on. If everything is connected correctly the computer should start normally. This is a vital step to ensure the new hardware will work seamlessly with your current system.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a great way to make your gear better, but you need be aware of how to use them properly. Each glyph has a variety of values it can improve the substatus by increasing its rank, and higher-rank Glyphs have higher-quality values. Make sure you choose wisely, because you can only upgrade glyphs once. Glyphs are also only available once and disappear after you use them on an object or artifact.
The best characters are those that improve the probability of affixing an affix to the desired level. They are usually found on the most expensive weapons, armor and accessories. You can also find them on the Paragon Board. They are worth the effort, however they it can be difficult to find.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Chests or purchase them from the Trading Post. Certain glyphs can only be used only once, while others remain in their original position. These are great for items that must be re-rolled frequently. The Glyph of Hope, for instance, lets you increase the likelihood of acquiring a particular affix when you are enchanting items.
Certain glyphs may also be used to change existing affixes. This is most common on gloves, boots and belts, all can accommodate four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight, for example, transforms the prefix into an experimental affix. This is a helpful tool if you are looking for an excellent affix for the specific slot or wish to maximize the damage output.
Once you reach level 50, the nature of the game shifts dramatically. Instead of having to rely on the campaign, you'll need to navigate the intricate Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds in order to ensure that your build is as perfect as you can get it.
The best glyphs will be ones that are compatible with your character's class, like the Exploit Glyph which increases damage against vulnerable enemies. Other useful glyphs include the Control Glyph, which boosts damage to enemies that are frozen, stunned or slow. Each glyph has its own radius which grows as it is upgraded. This makes glyphs a great option to upgrade your gear late in the game.
