Method The study design used quasi experimental research with pre-test post-test control group design. The sample of the research was ATC employees in Makassar Air Traffic Service Center, which amounted to 60 people consisting of 30 people given relaxation therapy interventions and 30 people as a control group. Datacollection using questionnaires and blood pressure measurements. Data collection was done using the stress scale questionnaire (Perceived Stress Scale) and using the job stress NIOSH questionnaire. Results The results of the statistical test at the pretest and posttest with the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test showed a value of z=-2670 and a value of p=0.008 (p less then 0.05). Conclusion The conclusion that there were significant differences in work stress between pre-test and post-test in the intervention group, so there was a significant decrease in work stress after being given relaxation therapy.Objective Stunting is one of moderate malnutrition caused by long-term lack of nutrition intake. Prevalence of stunting in Gorontalo (2018) was 32.5%. The study aimed to analyze energy and protein intake of stunting children in Ilotidea village, Tilango, Gorontalo. selleck chemicals Methods This research was cross-sectional study with 30 stunting children in Ilotidea village, Tilango, Gorontalo which uses a 3×24h recall form as instrument. Results 15 of 30 children were stunting and others were severe stunting. Mean of energy severe stunting and stunting was 823.61cal (69.98%) and 696.72cal (65.14%). Mean of protein was 28.00g (104.00%) and 24.51g (100.03%). Bivariate showed there is no difference between energy and protein intake both of stunting and severe stunting. Conclusion Inadequate energy and protein intake of stunting children in Village Ilotidea, Tilango, Gorontalo.Objective The study aims to investigate legal responsibility and the supervisory functions of the Hospital of the use of fake vaccines. Method The research used the normative legal research, namely research methods using materials sourced from regulations. Results The study indicates that the Hospital of Harapan Bunda had broken the Law No. 44 of 2009 about Hospital and Health Minister's Regulation No. 72 Year 2016 of Pharmaceutical Service Standard in Hospital. The Hospital concerned has been subjected to administrative action and has been prosecuted by the victims' parents. The case is in the East Jakarta District Court. Hospital as a Corporation may be held criminally liable in accordance with Regulation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia No. 13 of 2016 on Procedures for Handling Corporate Crime. Conclusion Hospital is considered negligent in supervising the use of fake vaccines at the Hospital. Hospitals procure any vaccine, it has to meet the Law No. 44 of 2009 about Hospital and Health Minister Regulation No. 72 of 2016 of Pharmaceutical Service Standard in Hospital.Objective The purpose of this research is to know the factors related to the habit of smoking in children aged 6-17 years in the work area Talise Health Center, Mantikulore Sub-district, Palu City. Methods This type of research is quantitative with cross sectional study approach, sampling using purposive sampling method. The number of samples on this study was 91 respondents. Data collection is done using a questionnaire with a Guttman scale. The data obtained is analyzed statistically using the chi-square test. Results The results showed that there was a knowledge relationship (p=0.028), facilities and infrastructures (p=0.000), family environment (p=0.047), and cigarette advertising policies (p=0.000), with smoking habits in children aged 6-17 years in the working area of Talise Health Center, Mantikulore Sub-district, Palu City. Conclusions In order to prevent the child's smoking habit, it is necessary to provide understanding about the dangers of cigarettes, teach the child about healthy and non-smoking behavior, give aspects of subjective norms, and teach about how to control himself not to smoke.Objective This study aims to know relationship the number of pregnancies with LBW in Anutapura Hospital in Palu in 2016. Method Using analytic method with case-control approach. Samples were obtained by accidental sampling. Samples are 80 in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument using a medical record of patients. Data analysis using Chi-square. Results Primigravida who delivered babies with LBW were 15 (37.52%) and not LBW as much as 25 (62.5%). Multigravidas gave birth to babies with LBW as much as 6 (15%) and those who did not have LBW as much as 34 (85%). Statistical tests showed association between the number of pregnancies with LBW incidence (P=0.02). The results showed that primigravida was a risk factor for LBW incidence with an odds ratio of 3.4 so that it could be primigravida mothers were 3.4 times more at risk for giving birth to children with low birth weight. Conclusion There is a relationship of number pregnancy with LBW, that the lower the number of pregnancies the more risk for the occurrence of LBW.Objective This research is a preliminary study which aims to describe mental health prevalence of Tadulako University students after the disaster; earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction. Methods The observable study was conducted 3 months after the disaster in Palu City, Central Sulawesi Province. 270 Tadulako University students were randomly selected. Data collection using interviews and DASS42 questionnaires, processed through editing, coding, tabulating, and scoring into three categories, namely; low; moderate; high. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. Results The mental health prevalence of Tadulako University students in the form of stress symptoms with a high category is 9.88%, anxiety symptoms with a high category of 51.75%, and depressive symptoms with a high category of 22.67%. The percentage of stress symptoms in high category for female is 9.62%, male is 10.34%, percentage of anxiety symptoms in high category for female is 52.05%, male is 51.22%, percentage of depression symptoms for female in high category is 22.22%, male is 23.33%. Conclusion Our result found the mental health prevalence of Tadulako University students. In long term the symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression in a high category if not treated seriously will be a permanent mental illness that requires mental health interventions.Objective The study aimed to explore nutrients intake and wasting among adolescent students in a small island of Makassar city, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Methods The study involved 103 students grade 8th and 9th using cross sectional design. Nutrients (calorie, protein, and lipid) intake was collected within two consecutive days using food recall 24h questionnaire. It was analyzed using Nutrisurvey and categorized based on Indonesian Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for adolescents. Categorization of wasting was based on the WHO Reference 2007 BMI for age. Chi-square and T-test were performed to test the variables. Results Mean age of sample was 13.5±0.6 years and mostly girls. Majority of fathers' occupation was fisherman and mothers as housewife which have monthly incomes less than minimum wages of city. Only 24.5% and 13.6% of adolescents consume adequate calorie and protein, respectively. Bivariate analysis showed that there the significant correlation between gender, have urticarial and nutrients intake (P0.05). Conclusion Adolescents living in small island are prone to inadequate nutrient intakes, particularly calorie and protein. Gender and urticarial are correlated significantly with nutrient intakes.Objective This study aims to examine the relationship between birth length and stunting in 18-23 months old infants in Indonesia. Methods This study was a cohort study after supplementing pregnant and lactating women with Moringa oleiver, iron folic acid. Several factors have been measured previously including the family characteristics, maternal conditions, breastfeeding complementary foods. Infant body weight and length were measured at age of 18-23 months (n=344). All measurements were evaluated by trained field workers using standard questionnaire. Data were analyzed using bivariate and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results The majority of mothers aged 20-35 years, education level was less then 12 years, working as housewife, infants born with normal body weight, normal length, born in health facility, fed with exclusive breast milk. Stunting prevalence was 44.2%. Bivariate analysis indicated a threshold significant relationship to stunting for family income (0.079), breastfeeding complementary feed (0.073), whereas the birth length had a significant relationship to stunting (0.048). After controlling for all potential confounding variables, birth length was the online variable to correlate with stunting (p=0.0233). Conclusion Stunting prevalence is high at the period of 18-23 months and significantly related to birth length.Objective This study aimed to analyze the risk of nutritional intake and helminthiasis to experience underweight among elementary school students. Method This study applied case control design. This study was conducted in three sub-districts in Makassar City. There were 82 students from eight schools participated. Micronutrients and macronutrients intake were obtained by means of 2×24h food recall questionnaire. Body Mass Index data was collected by weight and height measurement with the use of weight-scales and stature meter. Helminthiasis was diagnosed from faces laboratory analysis. Results There were no relationship among that variables. However, the intake of protein (p=0.712; OR 1.28), vitamin B12 (p=0.349; OR=1.843) and Zinc (p=0.675; OR=1.417) give higher risk for the students to experience underweighted. Conclusion There was no significance relationship between macronutrient and micronutrient intake and helminthiasis with the underweighted incidence within the students in Makassar. However, inadequate intake of protein, vitamin B12, and zinc get higher risk to undergo underweight condition.Objective This study aimed to give a description of nutritional intake pattern of farmers and analyze the relationship of antioxidants vitamins intake with farmer susceptibility to chlorpyrifos insecticides. Method This was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. There were 298 farmers, from three populations Javanese, Sundanese, and Makassarese were participated as subjects. Data on nutrient intake, Body Mass Index, and Paraoxonase 1 activity were collected. Results The intake of macronutrients are different within the three ethnics. Magnesium and phosphor were micronutrients consumed by the majority of farmers among the three ethnic populations. Vitamin E, vitamin C, calcium, and zinc were the micronutrients which were the least consumed by farmers from all populations. The majority of farmers in the three ethnic community had low activity of PON1, and the highest prevalence was in the Sundanese group. There was no significant relationship was found between frequency of vitamin C and vitamin E consumption.
