A player can upgrade equippable items by interfacing with item upgrader NPCs. Each upgrade increases the stats of an item, and certain upgrades grant additional stats too.

Recycled Items

Many of the things we use daily are recycled, like paper, glass, aluminum and plastics. The item upgraders allow you to change the stats for equipped weapons and armor beyond 385 levels. The gear can be upgraded in physical power, spell power, or health. The maximum ilvl of these upgrades is capped at 400, and the cost of upgrading them rises with each step up the track.

To maximize the number upgrade options available, players can create a variety of Blueprint Cabinets or Copying Desks in a single day. This allows players to add more blueprints into the list of items the item upgrader creates which will allow players to increase their number of rerolls. However, creating multiple cabinets and duplicates of the same blueprint can cause a delay in production.

Set bonus

A set bonus is a secondary stat boost for a certain set of mods. The set bonus is increased in strength dependent on the amount of set mods available and excludes duplicates (e.g., a Warframe's primary and melee mods both have the Vigilante Set's "Enhance Critical Hits" bonus, but it will only count as one). A set bonus isn't improved by normal fusion.

Some sets have multiple options. The first one offers the basic bonus, and the rest improve based on the amount of items worn beyond the basic amount. For example, the Fables of the Feywild offers a set bonus at two items that are equipped and a more generous bonus when you wear more than the set number.


Players can purchase Benthic gear at Voidbinder Zorlan in Newhome or Voidbinder Sturzah in Mezzamere for Prismatic Manapearls. These manapearls can be used to upgrade a Benthic item by using an upgrader for an increase in ilvl, or to add stats. You can also reroll items that have identical stats by with the upgrader. In contrast to enchantments, an upgrader will not reapply the same effect repeatedly. The item that was used to upgrade the item will remain consumed.
