This article reports the findings from a phenomenographic investigation into career experts' conceptions of innovation in career development. The results show that conceptions of innovation in career development varied from (1) initiating service, (2) developing demographic-based programmes, (3) professionalising the sector to (4) exploiting cross-sectoral synergies. The findings give us a more profound understanding of critical aspects that may have an important role in improving innovation in career development. An online group of career counseling for unemployed young adults during the COVID-19 pandemic was developed. Twelve participants were involved in online group career counseling intervention, based on the Life Design for an inclusive and sustainable future. Results indicated at post-test on increased scores on career adaptability, resilience, future orientation, and propensity to identify inclusive and sustainable actions for the future than pre-test. Overall, the online group career counseling intervention effectively promoted particular aspects of young adults' life design for an inclusive e-sustainable future. This Editorial sets the stage for 18 papers on the theme, Contemplative inquiry, wellbeing and science education. The special issue consists of a diverse set of papers that complement one another while each contributes in unique ways that will stimulate reflexive practices among the science education community as they ponder how they can contribute to the resolution of global challenges that define our lifetimes. In this Editorial we address priorities for improved science literacy for a worldwide community so that moment-to-moment practices can reduce the world's carbon footprint and reverse global warming and related challenges such as species extinction. We posit that to meet particulars of global challenges facing humanity, science educators need to expand their roles and definitions of science education. Accordingly, in an era of COVID-19, there is an imperative to expand and deepen functional literacy in science and in particular wellness for everyone as part of a necessary education on the birth throug mindfulness. Each of these contemplative activities relates to knowing thyself better and promoting and sustaining wellness and wellbeing. We address self-help in relation to wellness because so many people follow one or two pathways when they become sick, i.e., they rest until their health improves and/or they go to the doctor who may diagnose/prescribe pharmaceuticals or changes in aspects of lifestyle (e.g., diet, more sleep). We provide examples of self-help practices that allow individuals to be autonomous and proactive in avoiding sickness, and directly addressing symptoms if and when necessary. Finally, we examine the potential of using a dialectical approach to teaching, learning and future rethinking of science education and science educators. Grand challenges of the moment demand no less than ongoing research with transformations that catalyze improvements now. We do not have a luxury of waiting for the right time, and the right time to enact sustainable lifestyles is now.
This study evaluates the effectiveness of a mindfulness-based intervention (MBI), called Koru mindfulness, among college students.

Undergraduate students (
= 34) participated in a 4-week mindfulness curriculum embedded within a college course, while a control group (
= 35) taking a different course did not. Notably, the intervention coincided with the start of a state-wide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the additional external stress, there was a significant main effect and a significant interaction between the intervention and time for state mindfulness, (the treatment group experienced increased state mindfulness). There was a significant main effect (higher for the control group) on coronavirus worry and a significant interaction between the intervention and time for perceived stress, with the treatment/control group experiencing decreased/increased stress over time. There was also a significant interaction between the intervention and time for sleep problems with the intervention group experiencing declines in sleep problems over time and also being more likely to experience optimal amounts of sleep over time.

The Koru intervention effectively increased state mindfulness, decreased stress, and improved sleep, suggesting that it is robust even under extremely stressful conditions. This study adds to the growing evidence that MBIs can play an important role in addressing rising concerns regarding the mental health of college students.

In the current study, we have proposed a framework for reinforcement learning in decentralized collision avoidance where each agent independently makes its decision without communication with others. In an environment exposed to various kinds of dynamic obstacles with irregular movements, mobile robot agents could learn how to avoid obstacles and reach a target point efficiently. Moreover, a path planner was integrated with the reinforcement learning-based obstacle avoidance to solve the problem of not finding a path in a specific situation, thereby imposing path efficiency. The robots were trained about the policy of obstacle avoidance in environments where dynamic characteristics were considered with soft actor critic algorithm. The trained policy was implemented in the robot operating system (ROS), tested in virtual and real environments for the differential drive wheel robot to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method. The aim of this project was to evaluate the psychopathological impact of home confinement and school closing between March and September 2020 on the mental health of Catalonian children.

PEDSAME study first cross-sectional section (beginning of the school year) and retrospective data (lockdown), carried out through the network of Primary Care pediatricians in the Catalan population between 5 and 14 years (included) from 09/14/2020 to 10/30/2020 in a random sample. Data were collected with an online survey through the RedCap platform at the beginning of the school year. The main variable was the result of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire answered by parents to assess the risk of psychopathology, in addition to other related variable.

The results obtained at the beginning of the school year show that 9.8% of the patients were probable cases of psychopathology. The most affected group were those between 5 and 8 years. The perception of the children's level of concern for their health and that of their family was a risk factor for presenting psychopathology, while the good family environment was a protective factor. read more Emotional and behavioral symptoms, sleep disorders and problematic use of screens were detected more frequently during confinement than at the beginning of the school year.

Confinement and the absence of schooling for 6 months had a negative impact on the mental health of the child-adolescent population who showed worse indicators than the previous year.

The latest coronavirus infection due to SARS-CoV-2, which started in China in December 2019, was announced as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) in March 2020. All epidemiological data so far show us that SARS-CoV-2 infection is less serious in children than in adults. Allergic asthma, the most common chronic disease in children, is usually not to be related to greater risk or severity for COVID-19 in pediatric populations. Although reports/research on asthma and COVID-19 in children have thus far been comforting, when coming across an asthma patient with any lower airway infection, attention should be given to evaluate their asthma control level and the possibility of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
. Here, we report a rare adolescent case of COVID-19-related pneumonia development with underlying asthma. A 16-year-old male patient has been followed up by the pediatric allergy outpatient clinic with the diagnosis of asthma for the last 5 years. He was thought to have typical clinical and laboratory findings for SARS-CoV-2 infection combined with underlying pediatric (allergic) asthma. Pulmonary CT showed findings consistent with COVID-19-related pneumonia. He was discharged after 1 week when all his complaints regressed, his examination became normal, and 5-day favipiravir treatment was completed.

When a physician comes across an asthma patient with any lower airway infection, attention should be given to evaluate their asthma control level and possibility of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

In order to assess the relationship between job features and labour market outcomes, we define two indexes proxying the pre-COVID-19 technical remote work feasibility as well as the level of social interaction with other people while working. Moreover, we use an indicator that classifies ISCO-08 3-digit job titles based on the essential nature of the good or service provided. We find that job characteristics have been major determinants of the probability of undergoing work interruptions and their duration. In addition, we show that women have been negatively affected by the Pandemic to a much larger extent than men, suggesting the relevance of the intrinsic characteristics of jobs they are mainly involved in, and the role of gender selection into specific activities. Not only females were more likely to have undergone work interruptions but they also exhibited larger probabilities of longer work breaks. A similar impact is seen for self-employed and less-educated workers.

Through the combined use of flexible and rigid bronchoscopes, nowadays bronchoscopy can be increasingly used as an endoscopic treatment procedure for pulmonary diseases. In cases of thoracic tumors interventional bronchoscopy provides palliative and curative treatment modalities. Apart from bronchoscopic tumor treatment, techniques for endoscopic lung volume reduction have increasingly come into focus in recent years. Furthermore, treatment options for asthma and chronic bronchitis as well as airway stenosis and fistulas are available.
