Item upgrading is a key factor in maximizing your gearing potential. It lets you add bonus stats onto the value of your item's base level.

Each upgrade template comes with a set of options which can be set up through the edition GUI. These options include the upgrade reference and the possibility of upgrading.

Upgrade components

As part of the 2.0 update, the upgrade system for weapons and armor in Cyberpunk has been reworked. Upgrade components can be found all over Night City, and the item that you want to upgrade must have an upgrade slot.
