Are You Getting The Most Value The Use Of Your Item Upgrades?
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade equipment that they already have. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.

Upgrades increase the main stat of an item, and can also add extras based on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB Sorcs or Goldwraps for casting builds.

Armour

Armour is one of the main factors that keep Link protected from injury in the majority of situations. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defence capabilities in a variety of ways.

Armour is designed to shield animals or people from harm or injury regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or a variety of hazards posed by the environment or activities. Historically, most armour was made of fabric or leather, but metal protections were also used particularly for military purposes such as heavy cavalry and combat drones.

Like weapons, there are a number of ways that armor can be upgraded however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been applied and removed, they cannot be reverted unless you own another piece of gear with the same upgrade. You should only apply the highest-level upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the materials required to complete the process.

In terms of acquiring the upgrade components needed, you'll find them all over Hyrule such as shrines, merchants and even enemies. They are typically marked with a blue triangle or a gold circle symbol and are available in large numbers as you progress through. While they might appear randomly, there's the possibility that acquiring certain upgrade components will lead to quests that reward you with more.

It's important to note that even though the amount offered by each upgrade could vary however, it will always be higher than nothing. Weapons

Utility items are not compatible with each other, unlike Armor or Weapons. Most utility items have a passive effect that players can activate by using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button or triggering an ability.

The Flashlight is the most common utilitarian item. It illuminates the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in all directions when on the ground. In the Engineering section you can instantly produce several utilitarian items, whereas others are available only through Research projects or Experimental projects on the Proving Ground.

Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the items they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.

The majority of utility items provide the player with an advantage in navigation or boost a specific combat ability. Sharpening stones, crafted by an Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, created by an Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other useful items, such as Writs and Theses created by the Scribe can be used to give the player either an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.

All XCOM soldiers can be equipped with a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Later, an additional slot becomes available through the use of certain types armor or completing engineering, research or experiments in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are added by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which allows the player to equip an Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot while an offensive grenade is placed in the main grenade slot.
