World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3percent of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.
In the final game you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes, too.
Leveling
The item upgrading system allows players to increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When the player upgrades an item, the base item will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This can be a disadvantage in that it could cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do this. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. item upgrade Cases.gg can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.
Requirements
The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each each time you upgrade an item, it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained like the chance to crit damage to attack, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items might require different upgrades than standard gear. For instance they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs listed above.
