Most microcontact force measurements are performed by using mass comparators, nano-indenter and precision electronic balance, and weighing sensors. However, these instruments have a complex structure and high cost. Nevertheless, the rapid development of microsensor technology provides a new, simple and low-cost approach for microcontact force measurement. In this study, we present a method of microcontact force measurement by using micropressure sensors and study the relationship amongst the microcontact force, output voltage and contact position of the sensor. We use a microcapacitance pressure sensor as an example, then we perform a simulation calculation and construct a microcontact force experiment system to verify the simulation results. The experimental and simulation results are consistent. In addition, an equation that describes the relationship amongst the microcontact force, output voltage and contact position of the sensor is obtained. Based on this simple and low-cost method, we build a micro-manipulation system, which indicates that the micropressure sensors can be used to measure microcontact force in various applications easily and cost-effectively. Furthermore, it is considerably relevant to research and application in this field.In this paper, we describe magnetoelectric properties of metal/metal-oxide/metal junctions based on anodized metal oxides. Specifically, we use Ti and Fe metallic layers separated by the porous metal-oxides of iron or titanium formed by the anodization method. Thus, we prepare double junctions with at least one ferromagnetic layer and measure magnetoresistance, as well as their current-voltage and magnetic characteristics. We find that magnetoresistance depends on that junction composition and discuss the nature of differential resistance calculated from I-V characteristics. Our findings show that a top metallic layer and the interface between this layer and anodized oxide, where strong interatomic diffusion is expected, have the strongest influence on this observed behavior.The inferomedial triangle is one of the two surgical triangles in the paraclival subregion of the skull base. It is delineated by the posterior clinoid process, the dural entrance of the trochlear nerve and the dural entrance of the abducens nerve. The aim of the present article is to describe the anatomical variations within the inferomedial triangle. Measurements of the triangle's borders and area were supplemented by detailed observations of the topographical anatomy and various arrangements of its contents. Nine adult cadaveric heads (18 sides) and 28 sagittal head sections were studied. The mean area of the inferomedial triangle was estimated to be 60.7 mm2. The mean lengths of its medial, lateral and superior borders were 16.1 mm, 11.9 mm and 10.4 mm, respectively. The dorsal meningeal artery was identified within the inferomedial triangle in 37 out of 46 sides (80.4%). A well-developed petrosphenoidal ligament of Grüber was identified within the triangle on 36 sides (78.3%). To interrogate the necessity of this Hand1 enhancer, as well as the importance of these novel lncRNAs, we deleted the enhancer sequences, including the common exon shared by these lncRNAs, using genome editing. Resultant homozygous Hand1 enhancer mutants (Hand1ΔST/ΔST) present with no observable phenotype. Assessment of lncRNA expression reveals that Hand1ΔST/ΔST mutants effectively eliminate detectable lncRNA expression. The aim of this cross-sectional analysis was to assess whether dietary fats are associated with changes in urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) in 146 patients aged 40-60-years with NAFLD and MetS. Dietary data were collected by food frequency questionnaire; UACR was measured in a single first morning void. Sources and types of dietary fats used in the analysis were total fat, fats from animal and vegetable sources, saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, and trans fats. One-way analysis of variance was performed to assess differences in dietary fats intakes across stages of UACR. The association between dietary fats and UACR was assessed by Pearson's correlation coefficient and multivariable linear regression. Patients with increased UACR showed a worse cardiometabolic profile and higher intakes of animal fat, as compared to patients with normal levels of albuminuria. Two different materials, i.e., SiO2/ZrO2 and SiO2/GPTMS/ZrO2, were synthesized, measured, and analyzed to find the difference in the used organosilane precursor (dimethyldiethoxysilane and (3-glycidoxypropyl)trimethoxysilane, respectively). SiO2/ZrO2 coatings showed higher hardness than SiO2/GPTMS/ZrO2. Moreover, the value of polarization resistance (Rp) for SiO2/GPTMS/ZrO2 coated 316L steel relative to the uncoated one was obtained. Materials and Methods In a prospective trial, 69 Physically active university students (20.2 ± 2.2 years) were randomly placed into a training group (n = 46; 27 men, 19 women) or a control group without training (n = 23; 13 men, 10 women). Participants in the training group performed unilateral AEL in the leg press exercise of the dominant leg twice a week for 10 weeks. An electric motor device-generated isotonic resistance at different intensities for both concentric (30% of 1-RM) and eccentric contractions (105% of 1-RM). Changes in thigh and arm lean tissue mass, unilateral leg press and unilateral elbow flexion maximal concentric (1-RM) and isometric strength (MVIC), and unilateral muscle power at 40, 60, and 80% 1-RM for both leg press and elbow flexion exercises before and after intervention were compared between groups, between sexes and between TL and NTA. Results Both men and women in the training group showed increases (p less then 0.05) in lean tissue mass, 1-RM, MVIC, and muscle power for TL. In NTA, 1-RM, MVIC, and muscle power increased without significant differences between sexes, but neither in men nor women changes in lean tissue mass were observed. In addition, men showed greater changes in TL, but changes in NTA were similar between sexes. No gains in any variable were found for the control group. Conclusions AEL protocol produced similar neuromuscular changes in TL and ipsilateral NTA, which suggests that strong ipsilateral lower-to-upper limb cross-transfer effects were induced by the eccentric-overload training. However, early ipsilateral increases in muscle force and power were not associated with lean mass gains. Both men and women experienced similar changes in NTA; however, men showed greater changes in TL.
