It's important to note that many midi loft beds that have desks require the use of a standard UK single mattress (3ft/90x190cm) with wooden slatted bases. The cost of the bed does not include the mattress. We suggest checking our mattress deals to find one that will fit your budget.

Mattress

Most midi beds are compatible with standard UK single mattresses, and the top bunk comes with a safety rail that gives you extra peace of mind. Some models have a pull-out trundle drawer that can be used for sleepovers, or to add additional storage space underneath the bed. These can be either open or equipped with doors (please look at the product's specifications for more details).

A lot of midi cabins have desks that can be moved from one level to the next or chests. This gives children a customized space to store their belongings, and there's no need to use the floor space by putting up heavy shelving units or wardrobes.

Some models have gone one step further by having cabinets that are flush mounted, or even part of the headboard/footboard. This is perfect to store toys and books.
