Radiation dose to specific cardiac substructures, such as the atria and ventricles, has been linked to post-treatment toxicity and has shown to be more predictive of these toxicities than dose to the whole heart. A deep learning-based algorithm for automatic generation of these contours is proposed to aid in either retrospective or prospective dosimetric studies to better understand the relationship between radiation dose and toxicities.

The proposed method uses a mask-scoring regional convolutional neural network (RCNN) which consists of five major subnetworks backbone, regional proposal network (RPN), RCNN head, mask head, and mask-scoring head. Multiscale feature maps are learned from computed tomography (CT) via the backbone network. The RPN utilizes these feature maps to detect the location and region-of-interest (ROI) of all substructures, and the final three subnetworks work in series to extract structural information from these ROIs. The network is trained using 55 patient CT datasets, with 22 patetter in terms of DSC, MSD, centroid mean distance (CMD), and volume difference for the chambers and whole heart with contrast. Notably, the presence of contrast did not statistically significantly affect coronary artery segmentation DSC or MSD. After network training, all substructures and the whole heart can be segmented on new datasets in less than 5 s.

The proposed method can be used as a tool to investigate the relationship between cardiac substructure dose and treatment toxicities.Cypermethrin (CY) is a synthetic pyrethroid widely used to control insect pests and it elicits a toxic effect on the human body. In this study, Bacillus licheniformis B-1 isolated from tea garden soil was used to degrade CY effectively. A specific enzyme was mainly localized in the extracellular compartments of B-1. This enzyme was identified as an esterase that could be produced without CY. The enzyme was purified 23.03-fold to apparent homogeneity with 8.38% overall recovery by ammonium sulfate precipitation, anion exchange chromatography, and gel filtration chromatography. The molecular mass of the CY-degrading enzyme was 66.4 kDa, and its optimal pH and temperature were 8.5 and 40 °C, respectively. Appropriate Zn2+ , Mn2+ , Mg2+ , Tween 80, SDS, Triton X-100, and BSA concentrations could greatly increase the activity of this enzyme. By contrast, EDTA, 1,10-phenanthroline, NaF, and PMSF strongly inhibited its activity. The purified enzyme showed Km and Vmax values were 5.532 nmol/mL and 33.445 nmol/min. The CY residue in lettuce and cherry tomatoes could be removed more than 50% under the conditions of the treatment concentration for 500 mg/L and the enzyme preparation dilution of 100 times. These results suggested that the CY-degrading enzyme, a constitutive enzyme that mainly exists in the extracellular space, was a novel esterase that might be used to detoxify CY, and could remove CY in vegetables effectively. PRACTICAL APPLICATION Our research found a novel cypermethrin-hydrolyzing esterase from Bacillus licheniformis B-1 and proved that the enzyme could remove cypermethrin in vegetables effectively.
Evidence for the effectiveness of state-mandated body mass index (BMI) screening programs in the United States has been inconclusive, and potential unintended consequences of the programs have been debated. The present review aims to understand parents' perceptions of and responses to school-based BMI screening, and to highlight racial/ethnic differences.

We systematically identified studies published January 2003-May 2019 examining parent and/or youth perceptions of and/or responses to US school-based BMI screening.

A total of 16 studies were included in the review. Studies suggested that while parents largely found BMI screening helpful, they held concerns regarding stigma, lack of privacy, and unhealthy behaviors and attitudes resulting from school-based screening. Furthermore, parents did not frequently follow-up with health care providers, although they reported some healthy behavior changes.

Our review highlights existing parent perceptions of school-based BMI screening including the potential for healthy behavior change and important concerns regarding weight-stigma and disturbed eating attitudes/behaviors. Additionally, racial/ethnic differences in screening preferences and experiences were found. Limitations of existing literature included a need to understand youths' experiences and a lack of standardized, reliable outcomes research. Implications for future research and the role of parents, schools, and providers are discussed.

A systematic review of the literature.

A systematic search of ten electronic databases CINAHL, MEDLINE Ovid, EMBASE, PROQUEST Health and Medical, PROQUEST Education, COCHRANE Library, Web of Science, ASSIA, SCOPUS and PROSPERO was conducted. The results were expanded by the handsearching of journals, reference lists and grey literature. The PRISMA statement guided the review. Studies published in English between January 2008-March 2020 were eligible for inclusion, and quality assessment was undertaken using the CASP Checklist for Cohort Studies.

Twenty-five studies met the criteria for inclusion. A range of selection methods was identified including prior academic achievement, ave successful outcomes.
Further research is required to justify the continued use of some commonly used selection methods for undergraduate nursing programmes. Selection models that combine various types of selection criteria with predictive power appear to increase the probability of selecting students that will have successful outcomes.

We conducted a propensity score-matched inception cohort study using claims data from a commercially insured population. Artificial microRNAs are one common approach, as they have the advantage of producing just a single functional small RNA, which can be designed for high target specificity and low off-target effects. Simultaneous silencing of multiple targets with artificial microRNAs can be achieved by producing polycistronic microRNA precursors. Alternatively, specialized trans-acting short interfering RNA (tasiRNA) precursors can be designed to produce several specific tasiRNAs at once. Here we tested several artificial microRNA- and tasiRNA-based methods for multiplexed gene silencing in Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) and Nicotiana benthamiana. All analyses used transiently expressed transgenes delivered by infiltration of leaves with Agrobacterium tumefacians. Small RNA sequencing analyses revealed that many previously described approaches resulted in poor small RNA processing. The 5'-most microRNA precursor hairpins on polycistronic artificial microRNA precursors were generally processed more accurately than precursors at the 3'-end. Polycistronic artificial microRNAs where the hairpin precursors were separated by transfer RNAs had the best processing precision. Strikingly, artificial tasiRNA precursors failed to be processed in the expected phased manner in our system. In the present study, our findings revealed the upregulated expression of circCLK3 in TSCC tissues and cell lines. CircCLK3 knockdown suppressed cell proliferation, migration invasion, and induced cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 phase in TSCC. Moreover, circCLK3 acted as a molecular sponge for miR-455-5p. PARVA was the target gene of miR-455-5p. Furthermore, the negative correlation between expression of miR-455-5p and circCLK3 or PARVA in TSCC tissues was discovered.
