To replace the lock, you must first take off the handle and screw holes. This is typically simple to do.
Then, find the screw that holds in the barrel of the lock. This is typically a different color than the other screws and located on the outside of the faceplate of the lock.
Remove the Cylinder

All you need is a screwdriver. You'll need to locate the Euro cylinder fixing screw located found on the inside of the door, next to the lock cylinder. The screw must be easily identified as it is usually different in colour from the rest of them. Remove this screw, and store it safely.

Take off the screw that connects the handle to the door using a screwdriver. Once the screw has been removed, you can pull the handle towards you, and then the rest of it out of the door.
If you're having trouble taking the handle off of the door frame, you might have to take it off. You can make use of a screwdriver to remove the handle. Be careful not to strip or cross-thread it.
If you're ready to replace the cylinder, ensure that it's the right size for the door you have. Cylinders are measured based on two measurement points: (a) the distance from the center of the Fixing Screw hole to the bottom of the cylinder, and (b) the distance between the keyhole and the edge of the lock plate.
Take the handle off
The good news is that the moment your upvc handle starts to become stiff, floppy or loose, it is an easy problem to fix. The reason is usually due to wear and tear of the cylinder or other internal components of the multipoint lock, which are inside the door between the handle and the frame. The weather, the heavy use or ageing can cause upvc locks to wear. This can lead to problems with the locking and closing mechanisms of the door.
If the cylinder is worn, it will often be difficult to turn the key, and the lock may be stiff, which could cause the handle to drop. The cylinder can be easily replaced, and this is a simple process. It can be done yourself, but you will require some knowledge about the mechanism's operation. The first step is to remove the handle, which will allow you to get access to the cylinder and replace it with a new one.
You will require an electric screwdriver and measuring tape for this. You must determine the size of your current cylinder as it will help you order a replacement that fits correctly. The cylinder is the component that lets you lock your upvc door, and it is essential to ensure that you get a replacement of the same size.
To get rid of the old cylinder you will have to unscrew the screws that are holding it. Be careful not to remove the screws since this will make it difficult to remove the screws in the future. After the screws have been removed, the cylinder will come out easily.

This will allow you to easily remove the lock cylinder from the handle without the need to move it, and expose the inside of the frame.
Then, remove the old cylinder and measure it. You will need to know its overall length and the size of the cylinder that is used to lock or open the door. This will help you find a new cylinder that is similar or smaller. This is the most important aspect of the whole procedure. The cylinder should be flush with the handle and should not protrude more than 5mm beyond it.
Install the Handle
