Midi beds are generally smaller than high sleepers and have a shorter ladder or staircase. They are therefore ideal for smaller rooms. They also use the standard UK single mattress and include a variety of useful components beneath. It's important to note that many midi loft beds that have desks require a standard UK single mattress (3ft/90x190cm) with wooden slatted bases. This is not included in the price of the bed, so we recommend taking a look at our amazing mattress deals to find a deal that is within your budget!

Mattress

Most midi beds are compatible with standard UK single mattresses, and the top bunk is equipped with the safety rail to give you extra peace of mind. Some models include a fantastic pull-out trundle drawer for sleepovers or storage space underneath the bed. These can either be open or equipped with doors (please see the product details for full information).

A lot of midi cabins have the option of a desk that can be moved between two upper levels or chests of drawers. This provides children with a unique space to store their belongings and means that there's no need to take precious floor space with bulky wardrobes or shelving units.

Some models have gone a step further with cabinets that are flush mounted, or even part of the headboard/footboard. This is perfect for storing toys and books.
