The exfoliation of bulk two-dimensional metal-organic framework (MOF) into few-layered nanosheets has attracted much attention recently. In this work, an environmental-friendly route has been developed for layered-MOF (MAMS-1) delamination using deep eutectic solvent (DES), which is more sustainable and efficient alternative than conventional organic solvents for MOF nanosheet preparation. Under sonication condition, DES as solvents, the highest exfoliation rate of MAMS-1 is up to 70% with two host layers via poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) surfactant-assisted method. The presence of tert-butyl exteriors and the atomically thickness endow the MOF nanosheets stable suspension for at least one month. Due to the 2D structure and excellent stability, MAMS-1 nanosheet (MAMS-1-NS) was chosen as a good candidate to encapsulate Eu3+ cations. The obtained Eu3+@MAMS-1-NS acts as a multi-responsive luminescent sensor through fluorescence quenching, and can specifically recognize Fe3+ (LOD = 0.40 μM, KSV = 1.05 × 105 M-l), Hg2+ (LOD = 0.038 μM, KSV = 5.78 × 106 M-l), Cr2O72- (LOD = 0.33 μM, KSV = 1.55 × 105 M-l) and MnO4- (LOD = 0.088 μM, KSV = 4.49 × 105 M-l). Compared with bulk Eu3+@MAMS-1, the sensitivity of Eu3+@MAMS-1-NS is greatly improved owing to its ultrathin nanosheet morphology and highly accessible active sites on the surface.
Weight bias towards individuals with obesity exists among medical professionals; yet, there is less evidence of the extent to which weight biases exist in different types of nursing professions. This study aimed to describe pediatric surgery and school nurses' weight biases towards children with obesity and examine factors associated with weight biases.

Pediatric surgery (n=108) and school nurses (n=177) completed a single online survey that assessed their attitudes towards weight regarding children with obesity. Responses were categorized as % agreement (responded "agree" or "strongly agree" to a given statement). Nurses also reported % time spent working with children who had obesity.

Almost all nurses (>93%) agreed it was important to treat patients with obesity with compassion and respect. However, many nurses endorsed statements stating that patients with obesity are often non-compliant with treatment recommendations (47%) and can be difficult to deal with (35%). Only about half of school nurses (53%) and surgical nurses (56%) felt professionally prepared to effectively treat patients with obesity. Nurses commonly reported hearing/witnessing other professionals in their field make negative comments (69%) or convey negative stereotypes (55%) about patients with obesity. School nurses who spent a greater % of time working with children with overweight had more positive weight attitudes (p=0.04).

Negative attitudes towards patients with obesity were relatively prevalent in this population of pediatric surgery and school nurses.

A fifth office was used as a control group. The study aim was to examine the effects of relocation to ABW on perceived productivity among employees and to determine if perceived change-oriented leadership behavior prior to relocation moderates potential effects. Dehydrogenase inhibitor Data were collected three months prior to relocation, and three and 12 months after. 407 respondents were included in linear mixed regression models. Perceived productivity decreased significantly after relocation compared to the control group and these effects persisted 12 months after the relocation. However, the decrease in perceived productivity was significantly smaller among employees perceiving high change-oriented leadership before relocation. Our results point out the importance of a change-oriented leadership behavior during the implementation to avoid productivity loss among employees when implementing ABWs.The past decade has seen increasing popularity of large display-based freehand interaction. This study examined the effects of body posture, interaction distance and target size on freehand interaction with a large display. Participants performed pointing and dragging tasks by freehand interaction with a large display under sitting and standing postures and at different interaction distances. Targets in both small and large sizes were examined. Results showed that interaction distance yielded a significant effect on error rate, but the effect differed by task type. Little measurable difference was found in interaction performance, perceived usability and workload between sitting and standing postures. There were significant interaction effects between posture and interaction distance on perceived workload. Larger target size led to higher efficiency and accuracy in pointing tasks, but reduced accuracy in dragging tasks. This study provided implications that are likely to improve the design and deployment of large display-based freehand interaction techniques.

A prospective, observational cohort study was undertaken. A LISA simulation training programme was delivered. Then, LISA was undertaken in infants with respiratory distress maintained on continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) in the delivery suite using videolaryngoscopic guidance without sedation.

Thirty-eight infants with a median (IQR) gestational age of 31+
weeks (30

) and birth weight of 1.61 (1.42-1.90) kg had LISA in the delivery suite.

Respiratory function monitoring was available for 34 of the infants. LISA occurred at a median (IQR) interval of 18 (15-29) minutes after birth. The most common adverse events were desaturation (44.7%) and surfactant reflux (39.5%), both responded to either temporary suspension of LISA or slowing the speed of surfactant administration. The supplementary motor area (SMA) plays an important role in the initiation and coordination of internally and externally cued movements. Such movements include reaching, grasping, speaking, and bilateral hand coordination. While many studies discuss the SMA and its relationship to other parts of the motor network, there is minimal literature examining the connectivity of the SMA outside of the motor network. Using region-based fMRI studies, we built a neuroanatomical model to account for these extra-motor connections.

Thirty region-based fMRI studies were used to generate an activation likelihood estimation (ALE) using BrainMap software. Cortical parcellations overlapping the ALE were used to construct a preliminary model of the SMA connections outside the motor network. DSI-based fiber tractography was performed to determine the connectivity between cortical parcellations. The resulting connections were described using the cortical parcellation scheme developed by the Human Connectome Project (HCP).

ical application.The judicious use of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) for MS requires understanding the potential benefits, identifying the most appropriate patient, and acknowledging the risks and differences between different protocols. Recently, AHSCT for MS is occurring more frequently, with a better safety profile than earlier studies. This review assesses recently published studies to determine the advances that have been made and remaining questions that future studies are poised to answer. We included studies from January 2016 to November 2020 with 20 or more patients. The benefits of AHSCT, including "no evidence of disease activity", functional and patient-reported outcomes, novel biomarkers such as brain atrophy or neurofilament light chain, and cost-effectiveness were assessed. The patient selection, treatment protocols, and safety outcomes differ between reports. The overall efficacy of AHSCT is better than standard treatments. Younger patients with highly active disease have greater chance for improvement, while patients who have comorbidities, failed more treatments, and are transitioning to a more progressive phase may not respond as well to AHSCT. The safety profiles for all AHSCT protocols is improving, however the durability of treatment response may not be the same for all protocols. The goal of AHSCT is to stop disease activity, avoid worsening disability, and obviate the need for further disease-modifying treatment, while improving patient quality of life and minimizing treatment-related risk. Results from currently enrolling randomized controlled trials, as well as ongoing registries, will provide more evidence for the safe and appropriate use of AHSCT.We evaluated the incidence, distribution, and histopathologic correlates of microvascular brain lesions in patients with severe COVID-19. Sixteen consecutive patients admitted to the intensive care unit with severe COVID-19 undergoing brain MRI for evaluation of coma or neurologic deficits were retrospectively identified. Eleven patients had punctate susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) lesions in the subcortical and deep white matter, eight patients had >10 SWI lesions, and four patients had lesions involving the corpus callosum. The distribution of SWI lesions was similar to that seen in patients with hypoxic respiratory failure, sepsis, and disseminated intravascular coagulation. Brain autopsy in one patient revealed that SWI lesions corresponded to widespread microvascular injury, characterized by perivascular and parenchymal petechial hemorrhages and microscopic ischemic lesions. Collectively, these radiologic and histopathologic findings add to growing evidence that patients with severe COVID-19 are at risk for multifocal microvascular hemorrhagic and ischemic lesions in the subcortical and deep white matter.

Since YouTube is the second most visited website, our aim was to evaluate the content-quality of YouTube videos relating to meningitis.

We chose the first 30 videos for four different search phrases meningitis, bacterial meningitis, viral meningitis, fungal meningitis and meningitis signs. The validated DISCERN scoring criteria was used to assess the videos by two raters independently. Qualitative data, quantitative data and the source of upload of each video were analyzed for video quality and audience engagement.

Out of 150 videos, 84 videos met the inclusion criteria. The mean DISCERN score was 34.6 ± 9.76 (out of a total 75), which indicates that the quality of YouTube videos on meningitis is poor. There is an excellent reliability between the two raters.
