This paper reports on the personal experiences of loneliness for individuals living with brain injury.

This is a qualitative research design, employing semi-structured interviews and subsequent contextualist thematic analysis.

Eleven clients (two female and nine male, aged between 27 and 63 years) with brain injury participated in semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis was employed in the interpretation of the data.

The interview data and subsequent analysis depicted three overarching themes in a healing process - 'Internal Loneliness', 'Healing the Cracks', and 'Visible with Cracks'. Participants described five factors which contribute to their feeling of loneliness trauma, social isolation, concealment, rejection of part of self, and invisibility of their disability. The participants' accounts also detailed the necessity of a therapeutic intervention and relationship to deal with and address some of these issues.

To assess the safety, efficacy, and prognostic impact of clinical factors associated with lenvatinib treatment in highly advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with tumor thrombus in the main portal vein trunk (VP4) or tumor with more than 50% liver occupation (tm50%LO).

A total of 61 highly advanced HCC patients (41 patients with tm50%LO and 20 patients with VP4) who were treated with lenvatinib at multicenter were enrolled and retrospectively analyzed for treatment outcomes according to their clinical status, including tumor morphology.

Wound care nurses are recognised as a key element for improving health outcomes. However, there is still fragmented knowledge of the outcomes associated with their practice in individuals with pressure ulcers.

To identify, summarise and map all available evidence related to the outcomes of wound care nurses' practice in individuals with pressure ulcers.

Integrative literature review.

To report the review, we followed the modified version of Cooper's five-step methodology, and the PRISMA guidelines.

The search was carried out on CINAHL, PubMed, the Cochrane Library and Scopus, with a time frame ranging from each database inception to December 21, 2019. We included observational or experimental studies of adult individuals affected by (or at risk of) developing pressure ulcers who were also cared for by wound care nurses.

Of the 439 peer-reviewed publications, 13 studies met the inclusion criteria. The most frequent outcomes were pressure ulcer incidence, healing rate and time taken for complete heant in these practitioners.The preparation of a series of luminescent perovskite-silicone elastomer (PSE) composites by embedding inorganic lead halide perovskite nanocrystals (CsPbBr3 NCs) into networks constructed by trimethylolpropane tris(2-mercaptoacetate) and sulfone-containing silicone copolymers with vinyl side groups (PSMVS) is reported herein. The networks are obtained by an environmentally friendly thiol-ene cross-linking reaction under 30 W household LED light. The conducted analysis shows that the prepared PSEs display strong green fluorescence due to encapsulation of CsPbBr3 NCs, which constitute a luminescent center in sulfone-containing silicone networks. Using PSMVS as basic polymers instead of commercial polysiloxanes endows PSEs with enhanced mechanical strength and excellent luminescent stability at high temperatures. Additionally, the construction of colorful ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UV-LEDs) by an in situ cross-linking process is described.The orbitofrontal cortex (OFC)-amygdala circuit is critical to goal-directed behavior, learning, and valuation. However, our understanding of the OFC-amygdala connections that support these emergent processes is hampered by our reliance on the primate literature and insufficient knowledge regarding the connectivity patterns between regions of OFC and amygdala nuclei, each of which is differentially involved in these processes in humans. Thus, we examined structural connectivity between different OFC regions and four amygdala nuclei in healthy adults (n = 1,053) using diffusion-based anatomical networks and probabilistic tractography in four conceptually distinct ways. First, we identified the OFC regions that connect with each nucleus. Second, we identified the OFC regions that were more likely to connect with a given nucleus than the others. Finally, we developed probabilistic and rank-order maps of OFC (one for each nucleus) based upon the likelihood of each OFC voxel exhibiting preferential connectivity with each nucleus and the relative density of connectivity between each OFC voxel and each nucleus, respectively. The first analyses revealed that the connections of each nucleus spanned all of OFC, reflecting widespread overall amygdala linkage with OFC. Analysis of preferential connectivity and probabilistic and rank-order maps of OFC converged to reveal differential patterns of connectivity between OFC and each nucleus. Present findings illustrate the importance of accounting for spatial specificity when examining links between OFC and amygdala. This fine-grained examination of OFC-amygdala connectivity can be applied to understand how such connectivity patterns support a range of emergent functions including affective and motivational processes.
Most studies regarding the oral health knowledge of medical practitioners are based on surveys.

To assess medical practitioners' knowledge in diagnosing and managing children oral health issues using eye tracking technology.

Forty-one medical practitioners completed a cross-sectional survey questionnaire and subsequently viewed 5 clinical images of children's oral cavities to indicate the issues observed and their management. Tobii eye tracking device captured each participant's visual search behaviours and mean length of fixation (LOF) for each area of interest (AOI). Participant self-reported confidence in examining the oral cavity, and qualification level was recorded for data analysis.

No correlation between time spent viewing the soft tissues and self-reported confidence examining the oral cavity was observed (P=.25). Self-reported confidence in examining the oral cavity was not associated with a correct diagnosis. LOF on the decayed teeth was significantly associated with a correct diagnosis of 'caries' (P<.
