t carcinoma. Even if contralateral occult carcinoma is not detected preoperatively, TT is recommended for high-risk patients.Bone regeneration has become a research hotspot and therapeutic target in the field of bone and joint medicine. Stem cell-based therapy aims to promote endogenous regeneration and improves therapeutic effects and side-effects of traditional reconstruction of significant bone defects and disorders. Human amniotic mesenchymal stem cells (hAMSCs) are seed cells with superior paracrine functions on immune-regulation, anti-inflammation, and vascularized tissue regeneration. The present review summarized the source and characteristics of hAMSCs and analyzed their roles in tissue regeneration. Next, the therapeutic effects and mechanisms of hAMSCs in promoting bone regeneration of joint diseases and bone defects. Finally, the clinical application of hAMSCs from current clinical trials was analyzed. Although more studies are needed to confirm that hAMSC-based therapy to treat bone diseases, the clinical application prospect of the approach is worth investigating. We describe a well-preserved South American Lamini partial skeleton (PIMUZ A/V 4165) from the Ensenadan (~ 1.95-1.77 to 0.4 Mya) of Argentina. The specimen is comprised of a nearly complete skull and mandible with full tooth rows, multiple elements of anterior and posterior limbs, and a scapula. We tested this specimen's phylogenetic position and hypothesized it to be more closely related to Lama guanicoe and Vicugna vicugna than to Hemiauchenia paradoxa. We formulate a hypothesis for the placement of PIMUZ A/V 4165 within Camelinae in a cladistic analysis based on craniomandibular and dental characters and propose that future systematic studies consider this specimen as representing a new species. For the first time in a morphological phylogeny, we code terminal taxa at the species level for the following genera Camelops, Aepycamelus, Pleiolama, Procamelus, and Alforjas. Our results indicate a divergence between Lamini and Camelini predating the Barstovian (16 Mya). Camelops appears as monophyletic within the Camelini. Alforjas taylori falls out as a basal member of Camelinae-neither as a Lamini nor Camelini. Pleiolama is polyphyletic, with Pleiolama vera as a basal Lamini and Pleiolama mckennai in a more nested position within the Lamini. Aepycamelus and Procamelus are respectively polyphyletic and paraphyletic. Together, they are part of a group of North American Lamini from the Miocene epoch. Background Pediatric migraine is among the most common primary or comorbid neurologic disorders in children. Psychological stressors are widely acknowledged as potential triggers involved in recurring episodes of pediatric migraine. As the COVID-19 emergency may have affected the levels of stress perceived by children and adolescents with migraine, the present study was aimed to understand the effect of COVID-19 emergency on symptoms intensity and frequency in pediatric patients. Methods A cohort of 142 child and adolescent patients with a diagnosis of migraine was enrolled at the Child Neurology and Psychiatry Unit of the IRCCS Mondino Foundation in Pavia (Italy). Socio-demographic and clinical characteristics were obtained from medical records. An on-line survey was used to collect information on COVID-19 exposure, stress response to the lockdown period, anxious symptoms during COVID-19 emergency, as well as migraine symptoms intensity and frequency before and during the lockdown. Colforsin Results The great majorityckdown phase in northern Italy. The improvement in both intensity and frequency of the migraine symptoms was especially significant in patients who were stable or worsening before the lockdown. The reduction of symptoms severity during a period of reduced environmental challenges and pressures further highlights the need of providing effective training in stress regulation and coping for these patients. Objective Vestibular neuritis (VN) is a peripheral vestibular disorder leading to a sudden loss of unilateral vestibular function. Although the underlying etiological mechanisms for disease development are not yet known, there is evidence that a latent infection with herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) might be involved. The polymorphism rs12979860 has been associated with the severity of recurrent herpes labialis and hepatitis C virus (HCV) clearance and treatment outcome and is located within the first intron of the IFNL4 gene on chromosome 19.q13.2. This case control study was conducted to evaluate the association of rs12979860 with VN occurrence. Methods DNA was extracted from EDTA blood of 151 VN patients and 1,775 healthy controls. Genotyping of rs12979860 was performed using iPLEX and MassARRAY Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization-Time of Flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry. For association analyses, an additive, dominant and recessive logistic regression model was calculated, using age and sex as covariates. Results A significant association of rs12979860 with VN was obtained for the additive [OR = 1.51 (1.18-1.92); p = 9.23 × 10-4] and dominant models [OR = 2.15 (1.48-3.13); p = 5.86 × 10-5], with the T allele being more frequent in the VN group. Conclusion By detecting a significant association of the rs12979860-T risk allele for herpes labialis severity with susceptibility to VN, this study gives further indirect evidence for an involvement of HSV-1 in VN pathology, thereby strengthening the virus hypothesis.Introduction Epilepsy and migraines are frequently observed as comorbidities, with the occurrence of one disorder increasing the probability of the other. The aim of our study was to evaluate the EEG characteristics by the type of headache and the implications of EEGs in headache patients, comparing the clinical characteristics and treatments between the headache patients with normal and abnormal EEGs. Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis reviewing the medical records of 259 patients with headaches who visited the pediatrics departments of five university hospitals and underwent EEGs over a period of 3 years. Based on the data entered, analyses of the following items were conducted (1) comparison of the EEG abnormalities by the type of headache and the characteristics of the EEG findings and (2) comparison of the clinical characteristics between patients with normal and abnormal EEGs. Results Of the 259 patients, 31 showed abnormal EEGs, while 228 had normal EEGs. Of the 31 patients with abnormal EEGs, 17 showed epileptiform discharges, and 11 showed rhythmic slowing.
