001). In adolescents with chronic MSK pain, fatigue subtypes were associated with clinical pain and pain impact (
s = 0.43-0.84) but not experimental pain measures (
's > 0.05). Adolescents with chronic MSK pain qualitatively described the negative implications of the different fatigue subtypes, particularly when perceived as long-lasting.

This preliminary study suggests that fatigue subtypes are prevalent and impactful in pediatric patients with chronic MSK pain. When planning multi-disciplinary treatment for pediatric MSK pain, providers should recognize fatigue as another disabling symptom.

However, evidence shows that there are nuances between different user segments, and only a small group of users are active. Thus, one key concern marketers face is identifying and targeting specific segments and decreasing user churn rates in an online environment. To this end, this study aims to propose a UGC-based segmentation of online brand community users, identify the characteristics of each segment, and consequently reduce online brand community users' churn rate. We used python to obtain users' post data from a well-known online brand community in China between July 2012 and December 2019, resulting in 912,452 posts and 20,493 users. We then use text mining and clustering methods to segment the users and compare the differences between the segments. Three groups-information-oriented users, entertainment-oriented users, and multi-motivation users-were emerged. Siremadlin in vivo Our results imply that entertainment-oriented users were the most active, yet, multi-directional users have the lowest probability of churn, with a churn rate of only 0.607 times than that of users who focus either on information or entertainment. Implications for marketing and future research opportunities are discussed.Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's disease (AD). Both diseases share common clinical and pathological features the gradual progression of neurological and psychiatric symptoms caused by neuronal dysfunction and neuronal cell death due to the accumulation of misfolded and neurotoxic proteins. Furthermore, both of them are multifactorial diseases in which both genetic and non-genetic factors contribute to the disease course. Non-genetic factors are of particular interest for the development of preventive and therapeutic approaches for these diseases because they are modifiable; of these, sleep is a particularly intriguing factor. Sleep disturbances are highly prevalent among both patients with AD and PD. To date, research has suggested that sleep disturbances are a consequence as well as a risk factor for the onset and progression of AD, which implies a bidirectional relationship between sleep and AD. Whether such a relationship exists in PD is less certain, albeit highly plausible given the shared pathomechanisms. This review examines the current evidence for the bidirectional relationship between sleep and PD. It includes research in both humans and animal models, followed by a discussion of the current understanding of the mechanisms underlying this relationship. Finally, potential avenues of research toward achieving disease modification to treat or prevent PD are proposed. Although further efforts are crucial for preventing the onset and slowing the progress of PD, it is evident that sleep is a valuable candidate target for future interventions to improve the outcomes of PD patients.
Frame-based stereotactic biopsy is well-established to play an essential role in neurosurgery. In recent years, different robotic devices have been introduced in neurosurgery centers. This study aimed to compare the SINO surgical robot-assisted frameless brain biopsy with standard frame-based stereotactic biopsy in terms of efficacy, accuracy and complications.

A retrospective analysis was performed on 151 consecutive patients who underwent stereotactic biopsy at Chongqing Sanbo Jiangling Hospital between August 2017 and December 2021. All patients were divided into the frame-based group (
= 47) and the SINO surgical robot-assisted group (
= 104). The data collected included clinical characteristics, diagnostic yield, operation times, accuracy, and postoperative complications.

There was no significant difference in diagnostic yield between the frame-based group and the SINO surgical robot-assisted group (95.74 vs. 98.08%,
> 0.05). The mean operation time in the SINO surgical robot-assisted gro, accurate and safe as standard frame-based stereotactic biopsy and provides a reasonable alternative to stereotactic biopsy in neurosurgery.Neck and/or shoulder pain (NSP) frequently occurs together with headache. Therefore, we explored how patients with and without concomitant NSP differ in their baseline characteristics and in perceived treatment responses to an analgesic. An anonymous survey was performed among 895 patients with headache (735 self-reported tension-type headache [TTH]) who used an analgesic fixed-dose combination containing 400 mg ibuprofen and 100 mg caffeine as a non-prescription treatment. NSP was abundant among patients in our survey (60%) and was associated with >1 additional day of headache per month. Patients with NSP reported predominantly sedentary work more frequently than those without (40 vs. 29%); they also reported physical tension/poor posture as a perceived trigger factor more frequently (70 vs. 16%). The reported pain reduction was comparable in those with and without concomitant NSP regardless of whether assessed as mean pain rating (from about 6 to 1.5 on a 10-point rating scale), patients experiencing a ≥50% in pain reduction (89.6 vs. 88.8%) or becoming pain-free within 2 h (57 vs. 64%). However, recurrence of pain and use of another dose within the same day were more frequent with than without NSP. We conclude that concomitant NSP is frequent in patients with headache but does not substantially alter responses to a non-prescription medication.
This study aimed to determine the underlying pathogenesis of Meniere's disease (MD) using transcriptome analysis.

Total RNA was extracted from the peripheral blood mononuclear cells of 39 patients with MD and 39 controls. Through microarray analysis for nine patients and controls, the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of those two groups were screened based on cut-off criteria (|fold changes| > 2.0 and adjusted
-value < 0.05). The functional enrichment analysis of DEGs was performed using Gene Ontology (GO).

There were 996 DEGs identified in the MD group 415 were upregulated and 581 were downregulated. A functional enrichment analysis indicated that the downregulated DEGs were significantly enriched in terms related to immune system processes. Among them, 17 genes were enriched in terms for the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) protein complex, and the relative messenger RNA (mRNA) levels of three markedly downregulated DEGs [fold changes < -5 human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DMA, HLA-DRB1, and HLA-DPB1] were significantly decreased in another 30 patients with MD compared with normal controls by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). However, there were no correlations between the expression levels of these three genes and clinical data, such as age, onset age, time course, or hearing threshold.

Our transcriptome analysis showed that the downregulated DEGs in MD were mainly associated with the immune system pathways including the MHC protein complex in MD. Remarkably, a breakdown in immunological tolerance mediated by MHC class II may contribute to the MD development, which has implications for targeted treatment.

We aimed to investigate the association between post-procedure cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFV) and severity of brain edema in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) who received early endovascular therapy (EVT).

We retrospectively included patients with AIS who received EVT within 24 h of onset between February 2016 and November 2021. Post-procedure CBFV of the middle cerebral artery was measured in the affected and the contralateral hemispheres using transcranial Doppler ultrasound. The severity of brain edema was measured using the three-level cerebral edema grading from the Safe Implementation of Thrombolysis in Stroke-Monitoring Study, with grades 2-3 indicating severe brain edema. The Association between CBFV parameters and severity of brain edema was analyzed.

A total of 101 patients (mean age 64.2 years, 65.3% male) were included, of whom 56.3% (57/101) suffered brain edema [grade 1, 23 (22.8%); grade 2, 10 (9.9%); and grade 3, 24 (23.8%)]. Compared to patients with non-severe brain edema, patients with severe brain edema had lower affected/contralateral ratios of systolic CBFV (median 1 vs. 1.2,
= 0.020) and mean CBFV (median 0.9 vs. 1.3,
= 0.029). Multivariate logistic regression showed that severe brain edema was independently associated with affected/contralateral ratios of systolic CBFV [odds ratio (OR) = 0.289, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.069-0.861,
= 0.028] and mean CBFV (OR = 0.278, 95% CI 0.084-0.914,
= 0.035) after adjusting for potential confounders.

Post-procedure affected/contralateral ratio of CBFV may be a promising predictor of brain edema severity in patients with AIS who received early EVT.

This study investigates basic relationships within and between geometric and spectral measures in a population of young adult subjects. Twenty healthy subjects stood with parallel feet on a force platform with and without a foam pad. Adaptation effects to prolonged stance were assessed by comparing the first and last of a series of eight successive trials. Centre of Foot Pressure (CoP) excursions were recorded with Eyes Closed (EC) and Open (EO) for 90s. Geometric measures (Sway Area, Path Length), standard deviation (SD) of the excursions, and spectral measure (mean power Spectrum Level and Median Frequency), along the medio-lateral (ML) and antero-posterior (AP) direction were computed. Sway Area was more strongly associated than Path Length with CoP SD and, consequently, with mean Spectrum Level for both ML and AP, and both visual and surface conditions. The squared-Sations by sensory and standing condition, and of changes with ageing, medical conditions and rehabilitation treatment. However, distinct measures shed light on the discrete mechanisms and complex processes underpinning the maintenance of stance.
