This study aimed to estimate COVID-19 awareness, attitude, and perceived anxiety among the Iranian people. This is a cross-sectional web-based survey done on the community population of Iran. The sample population was recruited through purposive sampling. The study questionnaire was circulated through online platforms as a web link. A questionnaire used in previous research has been used after translation in a sample of 375 adults from Iran. The majority of the participants in the study have a favourable attitude towards hand washing, social distancing, self-quarantine/isolation, and governmental policies regarding COVID-19. Similarly, many people feel anxious about partying, traveling, meetings, online shopping, and social contact. Anxiety related to contracting COVID-19 infection is reported in a larger populace. Most (> 80 percent) of the participants agree with the need for mental healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Iranian population has a favorable attitude towards the prevention of COVID-19. High anxiety and a perceived need for mental healthcare need in the community necessitates amelioration of mental healthcare during this challenging time. This study surveys the mental behaviour and purchase behaviour of Indian consumers, especially their online purchase behaviour, during a lockdown. Also, it studies their perceptions of job security during a lockdown. Primary data were collected using judgement sampling, and the sample size was 328. Demographic variables such as age, gender, and income affect online purchases in the present study. An increase in the purchase of essentials and hygiene products during COVID-19 has been observed due to a change in mental behaviour. Government have imposed total lock down and prevented people to come out from their houses which resulted in to uncomfortable position. The theory of fear (Ruiter, et. al., 2001) has been applied to explain the purchase behaviour during COVID-19 in emerging markets like India. The 21st century has brought unique opportunities and challenges for parents, and this is particularly true for Latinx families, whose children comprise more than one-fourth of the school-age population in the U.S. today. Taking an ecological and strengths-based approach, the current study examined the role of mothers' cultural assets (familism values, family cohesion) and challenges (economic hardship, ethnic-race-based discrimination) on children's educational adjustment in middle childhood, as well as the indirect role of mother-child warmth and conflict in these associations. The sample included 173 Latinx mothers and their middle childhood offspring (i.e., 5th graders and younger sisters/brothers in the 1st through 4th grade). Mothers participated in home visits and phone interviews and teachers provided ratings of children's educational adjustment (academic and socioemotional competence, aggressive/oppositional behaviors). Findings revealed family cohesion was indirectly linked to children's educational adjustment via mother-child warmth and conflict, particularly for younger siblings. Discussion focuses on the culturally based strengths of Latinx families and highlights potential implications for family-based prevention in middle childhood.
To report a case of bilateral vision loss as the primary presenting symptom of chronic myeloid leukemia in a young adult.

The 28-year-old male patient presented to clinic with visual acuity of 20/200 in both eyes after several months of episodic bilateral vision loss. Intraretinal and pre-retinal hemorrhages were appreciated, as well as Roth spots and peripheral neovascularization. Initial lab findings were consistent with a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia, later, upon bone marrow examination, the diagnosis was edited to chronic myeloid leukemia. Dasatinib therapy resulted in a complete hematologic resolution after six weeks. After intravitreal injections of bevacizumab in both eyes, visual acuity improved to 20/25 in the right eye and 20/20 in the left eye.

After review, this is one of only a few reported cases of bilateral blurry vision as the primary presenting symptom of chronic myeloid leukemia in a young adult. Because visual disturbances occur more frequently in acute myeloid leukemia, and lab results may be inconclusive, careful consideration should be given to differentiate myelogenous leukemias, as the acute and chronic subtypes may present similarly.

Drawing on the concept of entrepreneurial ecosystem, this study developed a conceptual model to explain the impact of digital technology on national entrepreneurship and the interactions between digital technology and other ecosystem elements. The hypotheses are tested by using unbalanced panel data of 101 countries from 2001 to 2018. The empirical results show that the level of digital technology is positively associated with the output of national entrepreneurial ecosystems, and this positive relationship is strengthened in nations with a supportive culture, high-quality institutions, supportive policies, accessible resources, and well-developed service industries. The findings highlight the importance of digital technology, provide fresh insights into the interdependence between elements and causal mechanisms in national entrepreneurial ecosystems.Within many societies and cultures around the world, older adults are too often undervalued and underappreciated. This exacerbates many key challenges that older adults may face. It also undermines the many positive aspects of late life that are of tremendous value at both an individual and societal level. We propose a new approach to elevate health and well-being in late life by optimizing late-life Brain Capital. This form of capital prioritizes brain skills and brain health in a brain economy, which the challenges and opportunities of the 21st-century demands. This approach incorporates investing in late-life Brain Capital, developing initiatives focused on building late-life Brain Capital.
Behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) commonly occur in persons living with dementia. Bright light (BL) interventions have shown some positive impact on BPSD. Ambient lighting is a more efficient approach to delivering BL with better compliance and less staff workload than individual-based lighting interventions. Yet, its effect has not been systematically reviewed. This review synthesized research evidence on the effect of ambient BL on BPSD.

This review searched literature from PubMed (Medline), CINAHL, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane in February 2021. Original research testing the effect of ambient BL on BPSD in persons with dementia was included. Two reviewers independently screened, extracted data, and assessed the quality of each article.

Nine studies were reviewed with 1 randomized controlled trial and 8 quasi-experimental studies. The sample size ranged from 14 to 89 participants across care settings. While not all studies showed positive results, evidence from multiple sapproaches, and intervention fidelity.Financial inclusion and education contribute to a country's development and economic growth. However, despite the significant efforts being made to increase access to financial products for women, a high percentage still do not have access to and effective use of formal financial services in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. This study analyzes financial inclusion (based on gender equality) in the countries studied using a pooled-panel ordinary least squares econometric technique. Furthermore, the impact of interactions between the level of study, use of technology, academic degree during the Covid-19 restrictions, number of credit borrowers, and number of borrowers with the interaction of the restrictions during the health emergency was evaluated employing the Gini coefficient and human development index (HDI). This study confirms that Latin America and the Caribbean countries can increase financial inclusion by changing their social aspects based on gender equality to ease using technology and access to credit. The results of this study are helpful for policy-makers in formulating and implementing policies that lead to action plans that reverse an exclusionary financial system, promote financial education, and empower women.
Clobazam is a benzodiazepine drug, used to treat Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in patients aged 2years and older.

To support patient care, our laboratory developed a liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for the quantification of clobazam (CLB) and its major active metabolite N-desmethylclobazam (N-CLB) in human plasma or serum samples.

The chromatographic separation was achieved with an Agilent Zorbax Eclipse Plus C-18 RRHD column with mobile phase consisting of 0.05% formic acid in 5mM ammonium formate, pH 3.0 and 0.1% formic acid in acetonitrile at a flow rate of 600µL/minute and an injection volume of 5µL. The detection was performed on a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer in multiple reaction monitoring mode to monitor precursor-to-product ion transitions in positive electrospray ionization mode.

The method was validated over a concentration range of 20-2000ng/mL for CLB and 200-10,000ng/mL for N-CLB. The lower limit of quantification was 20ng/mL for CLB and 200ng/mL for N-CLB with good accuracy and precision. The method performance was successfully evaluated by comparison with two different external laboratories. Retrospective data analysis was performed to evaluate the positivity rate and metabolic patterns for clobazam from our patient population, as a reference laboratory. Among the positive samples, both parent and metabolite were detected in 96.4% of the samples.

The method was developed to support therapeutic drug monitoring and the data generated from retrospective analysis could be useful for result interpretation in conjunction with clinical patient information.

Quantitation of the isomeric branched-chain amino acids (BCAA; valine, alloisoleucine, isoleucine, leucine) is a challenging task that typically requires derivatization steps or long runtimes if a traditional chromatographic method involving a ninhydrin ion pairing reagent is used.

To develop and perform clinical validation of a rapid, LC-MS/MS-based targeted metabolomics assay for detection and monitoring of underivatized BCAA in human plasma.

Various columns and modes of chromatography were tested. The final optimized method utilized mixed mode chromatography with an Intrada column under isocratic condition. Sample preparation utilized the 96-well format. Mereletinib Briefly, extraction solvent containing the internal standard is added to 20 uL of sample, followed by shaking and positive pressure filtering, and the resulting extracted sample is analyzed. The assay was validated based on accepted quality standards (e.g., CLIA and CLSI) for clinical assays.

The method is linear over a wide range of concentrations, 2.
