We first describe molecular processes imposing cell cycle arrest, the foundation of cellular senescence, then focus on the unique distribution, phenotype and function of CMV-specific CD8+ T cells in the context of cellular senescence and "inflammaging". More sheep (477; 2.9%) than goats (90; 1.2%) were found to be infected, and the prevalence was higher in animals less then 1 y (p less then 0.0001), and higher in spring in sheep (8.2%) and goats (2.2%). Female sheep were more frequently infected than males (p less then 0.0001); this did not hold true for goats. Of the tissues examined, T. ovis was found more often in the heart muscle of sheep compared with other tissues; however, infections in the heart muscle, masseter muscle, diaphragm, and triceps were similar in goats. Granulomas and caseous necrosis in the heart muscles were associated with the accumulation of mononuclear inflammatory cells and the formation of fibrous tissue around the parasite. Based solely on infected tissues found in this study, the economic loss caused by the presence of T. ovis larvae was estimated to be 4167 United States dollars (USD). Control methods, such as proper disposal of infected tissues and anthelmintic treatment of infected dogs, are necessary to decrease infection and prevent economic loss in small ruminants.In this work, we present a series of hammering tests on full-scale unit-plate ballastless tracks used for long-span bridges. There is no denying that it is a new attempt to pave ballastless tracks on high-speed railway long-span bridges; the related issues deserve to be studied, and especially the vibration characteristics. Hence, the vibration characteristics and transmission rules of the ballastless track with geotextile or rubber isolation layers are explored, and the vibration reduction effect of the rubber isolation layer is analyzed. The main conclusions are as follows the isolation layers change vibration modes and transmission characteristics of ballastless tracks; the introduction of the rubber isolation layer makes the excited vibration frequency range of the ballastless track concentrated; and the vibrations of the ballastless track with the rubber isolation layers are stable. Moreover, the rubber isolation layer has an obvious attenuation effect on vibration transmission in ballastless track structures. When the vibration is transmitted from the rail to the bridge deck, the vibration level differences of the ballastless track with rubber isolation layers are 20 dB larger than that of the ballastless track with the geotextile isolation layers. The vibration attenuation rate of the rubber isolation layer is about ten times larger than that of geotextile isolation layer.Methyl bromide (CH3Br) is one of the largest natural sources of bromine in the stratosphere, where it leads to ozone depletion. This paper reported the photochemical production of CH3Br from syringic acid (SA) that has been used as an environmentally relevant model compound for terrestrially-derived dissolved organic matter. The formation of CH3Br increased with the increase of bromide ion concentration ranging from 0.8 to 80 mmol L-1. Ferric ions (Fe(III)) enhanced CH3Br production, while chloride inhibited it, with or without Fe(III). Meanwhile, methyl chloride (CH3Cl) was generated in the presence of chloride and was inhibited by Fe(III). The different effects of Fe(III) on the formation of CH3Cl and CH3Br indicate their diverse formation paths. Based on the intermediates identified by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and the confirmation of the formation of Fe(III)-SA complexes, it was proposed that there were two formation paths of CH3Br from SA in the bromide-enriched water under simulated sunlight irradiation.
