Introduction
In this report I will be investigating the sector of advertising and delving deep into the world of advertising, discussing how it is hugely important and also how my interests link with advertising on many different levels. I will also be investigating the current major players in this industry and how they have made it to the top, by focusing my research on their methods.

Advertising is one of the biggest creative outlets in the world and always in high demand, even more so in the 21st century. Advertising is one of few industries in the creative world that can withstand the test of time, and will not become obsolete, if anything the opposite. Companies regardless of size and publicity will need advertising and promoting in order to inform people of their products, in turn making them customers. Advertising is the adhesive that holds everything together, as it says everything about a company and what they stand for, as well as how they deal with different situations. Every advert you see on your way to work or on a morning jog will be the product of endless hours of debating and consideration on exactly how the advert should be made and portrayed. The colours, the text, the font, the image, the theme, the placement, all this matters in the making of an advertisement.
JCDecaux
This company is a multinational corporation based in France and is well known for its bus stops, billboards and street furniture advertisements. It is the largest outdoor advertising company in the world. It all began when Jean Claude Decaux installed the first bus shelter with advertisements in Lyon in 1964. His vision was that a beautiful city would be created and financed through advertising revenues at zero cost to the taxpayers. Research will be added to this section of the report.

Saatchi and Saatchi
Saatchi and Saatchi is an American advertising and communications agency, with 140 offices around the world and 6,500 employees. It was founded in London in 1970, but is now based in New York. It was founded by brothers Maurice and Charles, who teamed up with a few other people, such as art director Ross Cramer, to become Saatchi and Saatchi. They ran a famous campaign called Labour isn’t Working, in favour of the Conservative party. They also did works with British Airways and Silk, the cigarette company. I will continue to add research onto this section.

I will be investigating current companies with my interests at heart, as well as a respectable reputation and a good history. I will also be researching many different advertising companies with different methods, such as purely digital, or purely physical, or a firm with all of these combined. These will ultimately lead to me finding out if these corporations have internships available and/or a graduate program. I will also discuss how and what my skills are, and what I need to be the ideal candidate for a specific firm. I will then conclude to summarise the key points of advertising and how the different firms work well at what they do, and how I would be a good fit for a career in advertising.
