Histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis (HNL) is a rare, benign, and self-limiting inflammatory disease that mainly involves the lymph nodes. There is a lack of large sample studies concerning the clinical manifestations and imaging features of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) of HNL.The clinical symptoms, laboratory examination results, 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging features, and treatment outcome were investigated in this retrospective study.A total of 40 HNL patients were recruited. The onset age was between 14 and 65 years, with a median of 25 years. The white blood cell count was 3.9 (2.9, 7.1) × 109/L, C-reactive protein level was 20.2 (6.6, 63.8) mg/L, erythrocyte sedimentation rate was 29.0 (18.0,45.0) mm/h, and ferritin was 616.5 (205.6, 2118.1) ng/mL. An abnormal liver function was observed in 23 patients. 18F-FDG PET-CT showed that an abnormal lymph node metabolism was observed in 38 patients, among which the highest 18F-FDG maximal standard uptake vla regions. Meanwhile, a total of 2502 lymph nodes (721 lymph nodes with a short axis greater than 10 mm) were found in the 38 patients, including 1837 lymph nodes with an 18F-FDG SUVmax ≥ 2.5. The 18F-FDG SUVmax of the spleen ranged from 2.5 to 9.2 in 20 patients, while that of central and peripheral bone marrow ranged from 2.7 to 36.0 in 30 patients. After follow-up for an average period of 1 month, the symptoms improved after prednisone treatment.HNL often occurs in adolescents. Scanning with 18F-FDG PET/CT showed that most patients had multiple involved lymph nodes that were hypermetabolic, and only few lymph nodes are enlarged. Besides, the spleen or central and peripheral bone marrow could sometimes be hypermetabolic. Glucocorticoid treatment for the HNL patients is effective.

This study aimed to investigate whether single nucleotide polymorphisms resided in the 3'UTR sequences in patients with chronic hepatitis B viruses (HBV) infection are associated with the development and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Seventeen single nucleotide polymorphisms in the 3'UTR sequence of 10 genes regulated or affected by hepatitis B virus X protein were found by bioinformatics methods. Two hundred fifteen patients with HBV-related HCC and 216 patients with chronic HBV infection were recruited. In this single-center retrospective study, we intended to evaluate the frequencies and characteristics of computed tomography findings of pancreatobiliary inflammation (PBI) in patients treated with lenvatinib and the relationship of these findings with treatment-planning changes.We included 78 patients (mean ± standard deviation, 69.8 ± 9.4 years, range 39-84 years, 62 men) with hepatocellular carcinoma (n = 62) or thyroid carcinoma (n = 16) who received lenvatinib (June 2016-September 2020). Two radiologists interpreted the posttreatment computed tomography images and assessed the radiological findings of PBI (symptomatic pancreatitis, cholecystitis, or cholangitis). The PBI effect on treatment was statistically evaluated.PBI (pancreatitis, n = 1; cholecystitis, n = 7; and cholangitis, n = 2) was diagnosed in 11.5% (9/78) of the patients at a median of 35 days after treatment initiation; 6 of 9 patients discontinued treatment because of PBI. Three cases of cholecystitis and 1 of cholangitis were accompaniuring treatment planning in the future.
Mesonephric adenocarcinoma (MNAC) is a very rare tumor that originates from mesonephric duct remnants of the female genital tract. Only a few cases were reported in the literature, and most of them occurred in the cervix, extremely rare in the uterine body and ovary. MNAC was rarely reported to arise in the uterine corpus, but never was reported in the ovary. Mesonephric-like adenocarcinomas are recently suggested to describe these neoplasms arising from the uterine corpus and ovary. Due to the rareness of the disease, little is known regarding clinical characteristics, pathological diagnosis, prognosis, and optimal management strategy of MNAC in the female reproductive system. We report a series of MNACs arising from the vagina, cervix, uterine corpus, ovary, and fallopian tube, to summarize the clinical characteristics, pathological diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.We retrospectively analyzed all MNACs in the female genital tract derived from our institute from January 2010 till January 2020. Patients'ollow-up duration was 33.5 months.Although there is no consensus for the optimal treatment of this rare disease, radical surgery is considered to be the initial choice for localized lesion. Given the high malignancy, the majority of MNAC or mesonephric-like adenocarcinoma patients who underwent adjuvant chemotherapy received 4 to 8 cycles of carboplatin/paclitaxel as a first-line treatment after primary surgery with a median progression-free survival of 12 months. Treatment for recurrent disease in these patients included gemcitabine, carboplatin, and paclitaxel. Radiation was very limited in the treatment of the disease.
To evaluate the therapeutic effects of additional electrical stimulation (ES) combined with low frequency (LF)-repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and motor imagery (MI) training on upper extremity (UE) motor function following stroke.

The participants with subacute stroke in the experimental group (n = 8) received LF rTMS + MI + active ES interventions, and those in control group (n = 9) received LF rTMS + MI + sham ES interventions. Interventions were performed 5 days a week for 2 weeks, for a total of 10 sessions. All participants were given the same dosage of conventional rehabilitation during the study period. The primary outcome measure was the UE Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA). The secondary outcome measures were the shoulder abduction and finger extension scores, modified Barthel Index, Purdue Pegboard Test, and finger tapping test. After the 2-week intervention period, the FMA and modified Barthel Index scores were improved in both groups compared to baseline assessment (P < .001 in the experimental group and P = .008 in the control group). These results suggest that the use of LF rTMS + MI combined with additional ES lead to greater improvement of UE motor function after stroke. As such, this intervention may be a promising adjuvant therapy in UE motor training.

In 2019, the Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) was reported in Wuhan, China. Governments in various countries had taken many safeguards. This study investigated the incidence of orthopedic trauma in a rural region epidemiologically and guided source distribution and medical professionals to sustain healthcare systems.Between December 2019 and August 2020, 1651 patients admitted to orthopedics and traumatology clinics with trauma were evaluated in this study. Patients were grouped into 3 groups pre-covid, restriction, and permitted groups. Age, sex, and fracture types of patients were recorded.The number of patients in the pre-covid period was 629 (38.1%), those were 334 (20.2%) in the restriction period, and 688 (41.7%) patients were admitted in the permitted period. A total of 1203 (72.9%) patients with upper extremity fractures, 383 (23.2%) patients with lower extremity fractures, and 65 (3.9%) patients with axial skeleton and pelvic ring fractures were included in the study.
