The ability of health care providers and students to use EMRs efficiently can lead to achieving improved clinical outcomes. Training policies and strategies play a major role in successful technology implementation and ongoing use of the EMR systems. To provide evidence-based guidance for developing and implementing educational interventions and training, we reviewed and summarized the current literature on EMR training targeting both healthcare professionals (HCP) and students.
We used the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) approach for scoping reviews and the PRISMA extension of scoping reviews (PRISMA-ScR) checklist for reporting our review. 46 full-text articles that met the eligibility criteria were selected for the review. Narrative synthesis was performed to summarize the evidence using numerical and descriptive analysis. We used inductive content analysis for categorizing the training methods. Also, the modified version of the Kirkpatrick's levels model was used for abstracting the training outcome.

The objective of this scoping review is to explore and categorise the benefits and threats of blockchain technology application in a healthcare system.
Databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, IEEE, Springer, and ScienceDirect were searched using a combination of terms related to blockchain, healthcare, benefits and threats. Backward-reference list checking was conducted to identify other relevant references. Study selection process was performed in three steps based on PRISMA flow diagram. Extracted data were synthesised and presented narratively using tables and figures.

Blockchain is a viable technology that can improve the healthcare data sharing and storing system owing to its decentralisation, immutability, transparency and traceability features. However, many healthcare organisations remain hesitant to adopt blockchain technology due to threats such as security and authorisation issues, interoperability issues and lack of technical skills related to blockchain technology.Non-adjacent dependencies (NADs) are important building blocks for language and extracting them from the input is a fundamental part of language acquisition. Prior event-related potential (ERP) studies revealed changes in the neural signature of NAD learning between infancy and adulthood, suggesting a developmental shift in the learning route for NADs. The present study aimed to specify which brain regions are involved in this developmental shift and whether this shift extends to NAD learning in the non-linguistic domain. In two experiments, 2- and 3-year-old German-learning children were familiarized with either Italian sentences or tone sequences containing NADs and subsequently tested with NAD violations, while functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) data were recorded. click here Results showed increased hemodynamic responses related to the detection of linguistic NAD violations in the left temporal, inferior frontal, and parietal regions in 2-year-old children, but not in 3-year-old children. A different developmental trajectory was found for non-linguistic NADs, where 3-year-old, but not 2-year-old children showed evidence for the detection of non-linguistic NAD violations. link2 These results confirm a developmental shift in the NAD learning route and point to distinct mechanisms underlying NAD learning in the linguistic and the non-linguistic domain.The identification and quantification of pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) in aquatic ecosystems is critical to further studies and elucidation of their fate as well as the potential threats to aquatic ecology and human health. This study used mass balances to analyse the sources, transformation, and transport of PPCPs in rivers based on the population and consumption habits of residents, the removal level of sewage treatment, the persistence and partitioning mechanisms of PPCPs, hydrological conditions, and other natural factors. Our results suggested that in an urbanized river of Guangzhou City, China, the daily consumption of PPCPs was the main reason for the variety of species and concentrations of PPCPs. Through the determination of PPCPs in the river water samples and a central composite design (CCD) methodology, the dominant elimination mechanisms of caffeine and carbamazepine from river water were photolysis and biodegradation, but that of triclosan was sorption rather than biodegradation. The mass data of 3 PPCPs were estimated and corroborated using the measured data to evaluate the accuracy of the mass balance. Finally, caffeine, carbamazepine and triclosan discharged from the Shijing River into the Pearl River accounted for 97.81%, 99.52%, and 28.00%, respectively, of the total mass of these three compounds in the surface water of Shijing River. The results suggest that photolysis are the main process of natural attenuation for selected PPCPs in surface waters of river systems, and the transfer processes of PPCPs is mainly attributed to riverine advection. link3 In addition, the low concentration of dissolved oxygen inhibited the degradation of PPCPs in the surface water of Shijing River.
Axonal transport deficit is a key mechanism involved in neurodegenerative conditions. Fluoxetine, a commonly used antidepressant for treatment of depression, is known to regulate several important structural and neurochemical aspects of hippocampal functions. However, the mechanisms underlying these effects are still poorly understood. This study aimed to investigate the effects of chronic fluoxetine treatment on axonal transport in the hippocampus of rat stress-induced model of depression.
We have analyzed the effects of chronic fluoxetine treatment (20mg/kg/day, 24 days) on immobility behavior (forced swimming test), hippocampal iNOS (inflammatory factor) expression (RT-PCR) as well as hippocampal BDNF, kinesin and dynein expression (RT-PCR) and hippocampal neuronal survival (Nissl staining).
This study provided evidence that fluoxetine could effectively suppress iNOS expression following unpredictable chronic mild stress (P < 0.01), increase hippocampal BDNF (P < 0.01), kinesin (P < 0.05) and dynein (P < 0.01) gene expression, and control neuronal death in CA1 (P < 0.01) and CA3 regions (P < 0.01) of the hippocampus and thereby improve immobility behavior (P < 0.001).
Based on the findings of this study, we concluded the neuroprotective effect of fluoxetine may be due to its ability to improve axonal transmission, followed by increased energy supply and neurotrophin concentration and function.

N1 is the largest and considered to be the most affected by PD, followed by N2, N4, N3, and N5. Recently, an MRI study suggested a sequential progression of loss from N1 to N4. As the extent of cortical thinning widens as PD progresses, we aimed to define cortical thinning patterns according to the differential involvement of N1 and N4 in PD patients. Cortical thickness was analyzed in 83 PD patients (29 with N1 loss on at least one side of the brain, but no N4 loss; and 54 with N4 loss on at least one side) and 35 healthy subjects with age, sex, disease duration, and intracranial volume as covariates. On patient-wise analysis, for areas with more cortical thinning than the controls, PD patients with N4 loss had wider cortical thinning involving more dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and temporal areas than PD patients with only N1 loss, but cortical thinning did not significantly differ between these two patient groups. However, cortical thinning was more apparent in hemisphere-level analysis with statistically significant clusters being found more in hemispheres with N4 loss than hemispheres with N1 loss in PD patients compared to normal hemispheres of the controls. Cortical thinning occurred in a similar propagation pattern to that seen with PD progression, supporting past hypotheses on the sequential progression of nigrosome loss from N1 to N4.Binge drinking consists in a pattern of consumption characterised by the repeated alternation between massive alcohol intakes and abstinence periods. A continuum hypothesis suggests that this drinking endeavour represents an early stage of alcohol dependence rather than a separate phenomenon. Among the variety of alterations in alcohol-dependent individuals (ADIs), one has to do with the motor system, which does not show a normal pattern of activity during action preparation. In healthy controls (HCs), motor-evoked potentials (MEPs) elicited by transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) over primary motor cortex (M1) show both facilitation and suppression effects, depending on the time and setting of TMS during action preparation. A recent study focusing on the suppression component revealed that this aspect of preparatory activity is abnormally weak in ADIs and that this defect scales with the risk of relapse. In the present study, we tested whether binge drinkers (BDs) present a similar deficit. To do so, we recorded MEPs in a set of hand muscles applying TMS in 20 BDs and in 20 matched HCs while they were preparing index finger responses in an instructed-delay choice reaction time task. Consistent with past research, the MEP data in HCs revealed a strong MEP suppression in this task. This effect was evident in all hand muscles, regardless of whether they were relevant or irrelevant in the task. BDs also showed some preparatory suppression, yet this effect was less consistent, especially in the prime mover of the responding hand. These findings suggest abnormal preparatory activity in BDs, similar to alcohol-dependent patients, though some of the current results also raise new questions regarding the significance of these observations.
