We analyzed data from three telemedicine dispatch centers, one located in Genoa, serving private clients (pharmacies, general practitioners), one in Brescia, serving pharmacies, and one in Bari, serving regional public STEMI network and emergency medical service in Apulia (4 million inhabitants). Demographic data and principal electrocardiogram diagnosis were collected and analyzed. Records from the time interval March 1, 2020 and April 1, 2020 were compared with the corresponding period in 2019. The comparative analysis of data shows a 54% reduction of telemedicine electrocardiogram transmission in Genoa telemedicine center (from 364 to 166), 68% in Brescia (from 5.745 to 1.905), 24% in Bari (from 15.825 to 11.716); relative reduction according to electrocardiogram diagnosis was 38% for acute coronary syndrome, 40% for other acute CVD in Genoa center, 24% for acute coronary syndrome, and 38% for other acute CVD in Bari. Male/female ratio remained substantially unchanged. A dramatic reduction of telemedicine access for CVD was observed during Covid-19 outbreak in March 2020 in Italy. No consensus exists regarding the most appropriate staging system to predict overall survival (OS) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in surgical candidates. Thus, we aimed to determine the prognostic ability of eight different staging systems in a European cohort of patients undergoing liver resection for HCC.

Patients resected for HCC between 2010 and 2019 at our institution were analyzed with Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses. Likelihood ratio (LR) χ

(discriminatory ability), and Akaike Information Criterion (AIC, explanatory ability) were used to determine the staging system with the best overall prognostic performance.

Liver resection for HCC was performed in 160 patients. Median OS was 39months (95% confidence interval (CI) 32-46months) and median RFS was 26months (95% CI 16-34months). All staging systems (BCLC, HKLC, Okuda, CLIP, ITA.LI.CA staging and score, MESH, and GRETCH) showed significant discriminatory ability regarding OS, with ITA.LI.CA score (LR χ
30.08, LT χ
13.90, AIC 455.27) and CLIP (LR χ
28.65, LT χ
18.95, AIC 460.07) being the best performing staging systems.

(GRIN; The Plant List 2013) is an important medicinal plant and one of the most frequently consumed tea plants. In order to assess mitochondrial genome variation of different cultivated chamomile accessions, 36 mitochondrial SNP markers were used in a HRM (high resolution melting) approach. In thirteen accessions of chamomile (n = 155), twenty mitochondrial haplotypes (genetic distances 0.028-0.693) were identified. Three of the accessions ('Camoflora', 'Mat19' and 'Manzana') were monomorphic. The highest genotypic variability was found for the Croatian accession 'PG029' with nine mitochondrial haplotypes (mitotypes) and the Argentinian 'Argenmilla' with seven mitotypes. However, most of the mitotypes detected in these accessions were infrequent in our sample set, thus disclosing an unusual high amount of substitutions within the mitochondrial genome of these accessions. The mitotypes with the highest frequency in the examined dataset were MT1 (n = 27), MT9 (n = 23) and MT17 (n = 20). All of the frequent mitochondrial lines are distributed not only over several accessions but also over several geographical origins. The origins often build a triplet with on average two to three concurrent lines. The most distantly related accessions were 'Mat19' and 'Camoflora' (0.539), while 'PNOS' and 'Margaritar' (0.007) showed the lowest genetic distance.

The plane wave pseudopotential and norm-conserving pseudopotential have been applied in Quantum-Espresso code based on density-functional theory (DFT). The results show a first-order phase transition from B3 to B1 (rock-salt) structure at 42 GPa and 2.5 GPa for ReN and MoN respectively. The elastic behaviors of these compounds are also unfolded in this work. The brittleness of the ReN and ductility of MoN is identified with the help of Pugh's index and Poisson's ratio. The strong anisotropic behaviors of both compounds are detected under the influence of pressure. The electronic and bonding features of proposed compounds are evaluated by means of band structures, the density of states (DOS), Fermi surface, and charge density plots. The obtained results forecast the metallic behavior and ionic bonding of ReN and MoN in both phases B3 and B1.
