Herein, a general strategy to optimize the activity of metal single-atoms is achieved by the decoration of metal clusters via a coating-pyrolysis-etching route. In this unique structure, the metal clusters are able to induce electron redistribution and modulate M-N species bond lengths. As a result, M-ACSA@NC exhibits superior ORR activity compared with the nanoparticle-decorated counterparts. The performance enhancement is attributed to the optimized intermediates desorption benefiting from the unique electronic configuration. Surgery or radiation usually benefits patients with early cervical cancer, while the metastatic one is uncurable and new therapeutic strategies and approaches are required. In this study, HPV16 E6 silence or overexpression were carried out to evaluate the possible mechanisms of HPV16 E6 function in cervical cancer cells with different HPV16 E6 expression background. HPV16 E6-positive cervical cancer cell Siha exerts significantly stronger cell invasion and migration potentials than the HPV16 E6-negative C33A cells. HPV16 E6 silence significantly weakened the potentials of cell invasion and migration, cell proliferation and stemness characteristic in Siha cells. Meanwhile, the overexpression of HPV16 E6 effectively promoted the cell proliferation and stemness characteristic in C33A cells. Our data also indicated a positive association between HPV16 E6 and the levels of epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT), and cell stemness. The ectopic expression of OCT4 could effectively reverse the inhibitory roles of HPV16 E6 silence on cell migration, invasion, and stemness in Siha cells. More interestingly, we found that HPV16 E6 might promote the OCT4 expression by impairing the direct binding of p53 on the promoter and activate its transcription. Taken together, our results indicated that HPV16 E6 could promoted the potential cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of human cervical cancer cells by modulating EMT and cell stemness. Our data provide a novel mechanism for how HPV16 E6 acts as a key risk factor for cervical cancer development and progression.
To investigate whether upper gastrointestinal (GI) disease has any effect on the exposure of oral semaglutide, an important consideration given that its absorption occurs primarily in the stomach.
In an open-label, parallel-group trial (NCT02877355), subjects aged 18-80 years with type 2 diabetes with mild-to-moderate upper GI disease (N=36; chronic gastritis [n=5], gastroesophageal reflux disease [n=8], and both [n=23]) or without upper GI disease (N=19) received oral semaglutide 3 mg once daily for 5 days, followed by 7mg for 5 days. The primary and key supportive endpoints were the area under the semaglutide plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) from 0 to 24 hours after last trial product administration on day 10 (AUC
) and the maximum semaglutide plasma concentration (C

Mild Parkinsonian signs (MPS) are common in older adults. We hypothesized that MPS are associated with lower functional connectivity (FC) in dopamine-dependent cortico-striatal networks, and these associations vary with white matter hyperintensity (WMH), a risk factor for MPS.
We examined resting-state functional MRI in 266 participants (mean age 83; 57% female; 41% African American) with data on MPS (Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale), demographics, cognition, muscle-skeletal, and cardiometabolic health. FC between cortex and striatum was examined separately for sensorimotor, executive, and limbic functional subregions. Logistic regression tested the association of FC in each network with MPS, adjusted for covariates. Interactions of FC by WMH were tested; and analyses were repeated stratified by WMH above/below the median.
Compared to those without MPS, those with MPS had lower cortico-striatal FC in the left executive network (adjusted odds ratio [95% confidence interval], p-value 0.188 [0.043, 0.824], .027). The interaction with WMH was p = .064; left executive FC was inversely associated with MPS for high WMH (0.077 [0.010, 0.599], .014) but not low WMH participants (1.245 [0.128, 12.132], .850).
MPS appear related to lower executive network FC, robust to adjustment for other risk factors, and stronger for those with higher burden of WMH. Future longitudinal studies should examine the interplay between cerebral small vessel disease and connectivity influencing MPS.

AIMS To describe typical phonological development of Brazilian Portuguese (BP)-speaking children, considering the following parameters age of customary production, acquisition and mastery.
Data were collected from 857 children aged between 3 years and 8 years 11 months with typical language and speech development. The sample was grouped into 6-month age bands. The data were analysed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Games-Howell post-hoc tests.
Stops (/p, b, t, d, k, g/), nasals (/m, n, ɲ/) and some fricatives (/f, v, s, z/) were mastered before the age of 3 years (age of mastery). The age of acquisition for phonemes /ʃ, ʒ/ was 3;6, though both were only mastered at 4;0 years. The liquid /l/ was acquired at 3;0 and mastered at age 3;6, while /x/ was acquired and mastered at age 3;6. The phoneme /ʎ/ was acquired at 7;0 and mastered at age 8;6. The tap /ɾ/ was acquired between the ages of 4;0 and 4;6, and mastered at 4;6. In coda position, /n, l/ were acquired at 3;0, while /s/ was mastered at 4;6 and /ɾ/ between 4;6 and 5;0 years. Clusters involving /ɾ/ were acquired at 6;0, while those with /l/ were acquired between the ages of 6;6 and 7;0.
This study presented acquisition for consonants in BP and can be used as a reference for the assessment of developmental speech disorders. In this study, stops and nasals were acquired first, followed by fricatives and, lastly, liquids. This finding is corroborated by previous studies in BP and other languages.

These symbionts are mostly acquired anew each generation from the environment during early life stages ("horizontal transmission"). Symbiodiniaceae species exhibit trait variation that directly impacts the health and performance of the coral host under ocean warming. Here, we test the capacity for larvae of a horizontally transmitting coral, Acropora tenuis, to establish symbioses with Symbiodiniaceae species in four genera that have varying thermal thresholds (the common symbiont genera, Cladocopium and Durusdinium, and the less common Fugacium and Gerakladium). Over a 2-week period in January 2018, a series of both no-choice and four-way choice experiments were conducted at three temperatures (27, 30, and 31°C). Symbiont acquisition success and cell proliferation were measured in individual larvae. Larvae successfully acquired and maintaon practices that use sexually produced coral stock.WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE SUBJECT? Poor recovery will cause harm to the quality of life and well-being of residents and that the scope of influence includes the self, family and society. No study to date has investigated empowerment and the other multiple factors associated with personal recovery among psychiatric nursing home residents. WHAT DOES THE PAPER ADD TO EXISTING KNOWLEDGE? The factors associated with personal recovery are empowerment, social support and global functioning. This pioneer study contributes new evidence that personal recovery is mainly predicted by empowerment, social support and global function, with empowerment exhibiting the highest predictive value. WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE? Strengthening empowerment in mental health nursing may contribute more to the personal recovery of psychiatric nursing home residents than improving global function or social support. Mental health professionals should shift to empowerment-oriented care to improve individuals' personal recovery, sucrding to bivariate associations were religious belief, psychotic symptoms, global function, social support and empowerment. In the hierarchical regression, empowerment, social support and global function were the main predictive factors of recovery, with the explained variation reaching 40.8%. Empowerment exhibited the highest predictive value for the recovery. Implications for clinical practice Strengthening empowerment in mental health nursing may contribute more to the personal recovery of psychiatric nursing home residents than improving global function or social support.
