Nutritional status was classified as underweight (weight-for-age z-score), stunting (height-for-age z-score), and wasting (body mass index z-score) using the World Health Organization growth reference. The mean weight-for-age z-score was lower in children who died during the study than in those who survived (-2.6 vs. -2.1, p=0.016). Otherwise, the baseline characteristics of children who died during the study were not significantly different from those who survived. A pooled analysis of participants demonstrated that a lower weight-for-age z-score was associated with an increased hazard of death (HR=0.580, p=0.004, 95%CI 0.399-0.843). Underweight participants (weight-for-age z-score <-1) had a greater probability of death during follow-up than those not underweight (p=0.043). However, the blue light-excitable broadband yellow emissions have been rarely reported in 0D hybrid metal halides. Here, we design a new 0D bismuth hybrid, (4cmpyH)2BiCl5 (1, 4cmpy = 4-(chloromethyl)pyridine), featuring isolated edge-sharing bioctahedral [Bi2Cl10]4- dimers surrounded by rigid, conjugated, and luminescent organic [4cmpyH]+ cations. This material is able to show intrinsic broadband yellow emissions under blue light (468 nm) excitation with a long lifetime of 22.33 μs and a photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield of 5.56%. Solid-state UV-vis spectroscopy studies prove that introducing organic π-conjugated groups into hybrid systems leads to absorption in the visible light region, in favor of photoexcitation by visible light. By comparing the PL data of 1 and the organic template at room temperature and measuring variable-temperature PL spectra of 1, the blue light-excited broadband emission of 1 can be attributed to the synergistic emissions of intramolecular π → π* and n → π* transitions in the organic cations and triple self-trapped exciton (STE) states centralized at the highly distorted Bi-Cl lattices. Moreover, density functional theory calculations reveal a type-II band alignment in 1 with an indirect band gap of 2.64 eV, which is together determined by organic cations and inorganic bioctahedral units. To the best of our knowledge, our work represents the first report on the blue light-excitable STE emission in 0D Bi-based metal halides, which will largely promote the rapid development of novel high-performance yellow light-emitting materials.'Age reprogramming' refers to the process by which the molecular and cellular pathways of a cell that are subject to age-related decline are rejuvenated without passage through an embryonic stage. Productive engagement with an EBP can resist carceral processes in reentry service-provision.Sophisticated functions of biological tissues are supported by small biological units of cells that are localized within a region of 100 μm scale. The cells in these units secrete molecules to form their microenvironment to play a vital role in biological functions. Various microfluidic devices have been developed to analyze the microenvironment but were not designed for cells in a culture dish in a confluent condition, a typical setup for cell and tissue cultivation. This study presents a novel glass capillary-based microfluidic device for studying confluent cells in a culture dish. The multiple capillaries allow the device to confine the local flow in 100 μm or smaller scale to form two adjacent regions with different chemical properties; it can simultaneously perform local cell stimulation and collect secreted molecules from the stimulated cells. Cell removal was achieved upon trypsin stimulation from a limited area (3.8 × 10-3 ± 1.0 × 10-3 mm2), which corresponded to 7.6 ± 2.0 cells, using the mouse skeletal myoblast cell line (C2C12 cells) in a confluent condition. Microenvironmental analysis was demonstrated by measuring the secreted tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) collected from the microenvironment of the stimulated and unstimulated mouse leukemic monocyte cell line (RAW264 cells) to track temporal changes in the TNF-α production. The TNF-α secreted from stimulated cells was approximately four-fold higher than that from unstimulated cells in 90 min. This device enables local cell stimulation and the collection of secreted molecules for cells under confluent conditions, which contributes to the analysis of the cellular microenvironment.
Early recognition and timely intervention for urosepsis are key to reducing morbidity and mortality. Blood culture has low sensitivity, and a long turnaround time makes meeting the needs of clinical diagnosis difficult. This study aimed to use biomarkers to build a machine learning model for early prediction of urosepsis.

Through retrospective analysis, we screened 157 patients with urosepsis and 417 patients with urinary tract infection. Laboratory data of the study participants werecollected, including data on biomarkers, such as procalcitonin, D-dimer, and C-reactive protein. We split the data into training (80%) and validation datasets (20%) and determined the average model prediction accuracy through cross-validation.

In total, 26 variables were initially screened and 18 were statistically significant. The influence of the 18 variables was sorted using three ranking methods to further determine the best combination of variables. The Gini importance ranking method was found to be suitable for variable filtering. The accuracy rates of the six machine learning models in predicting urosepsis were all higher than 80%, and the performance of the artificial neural network (ANN) was the best among all. When the ANN included the eight biomarkers with the highest influence ranking, its model had the best prediction performance, with an accuracy rate of 92.9% and an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.946.

This study aims to develop the behavior maintenance model of CRS use based on the health action process approach (HAPA) theory to explore the maintenance mechanisms, suggesting appropriate intervention strategies.

Adopting the multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method, a cross-sectional survey for guardians recruited from kindergarten and primary school was conducted using the questionnaire developed based on the HAPA theory in Nanjing, China, and 1135 valid samples were finally obtained.
