The research was carried out to determine the life experiences of pregnant women who have urinary incontinence problems.

The type of the research is of qualitative type. Views of pregnant women were coded according to repeating frequencies; then thematic grouping was done. Both common views and individual repetitions of the pregnant women were coded. During the study, 52 pregnant women stated that they had urinary incontinence problems. However, five pregnant women did not want to participate in the study and six pregnant women wanted to leave during the interview. Interviews ended with 41 pregnant women.

In the study, the mean age of the pregnant women was determined as 29.75 ± 4.83, and the mean gestational week was 27.85 ± 5.60. The views of pregnant women are divided into five main themes and 16 sub-themes. The main themes for the urinary incontinence life experiences of pregnant women were determined as "strategies to take precautions, psychological effects, pregnancy and baby-specific effects, physical effects and changes in their relationship with the spouse."

A 45-year-old female underwent a trans obturator tape procedure to correct severe stress urinary incontinence 3 months after surgery she developed urethral pain. The sling was partially removed, but the pain persisted. No residue sling was visualized by cystoscopies after surgery, and the pain was attributed to a psychiatric problem. She was treated with opioids, pregabalin without improvement of pain, until an extrusion of the sling into the urethra has been diagnosed by a careful urethrocystoscopy.

Laterally spreading tumours represent a major challenge for endoscopic detection and resection.

To examine synchronous and metachronous neoplasms in patients with laterally spreading tumours.

We prospectively collected colonoscopy and histopathology data from patients who underwent colonoscopy in our centre at up to 6years' follow-up. Post-resection surveillance outcomes between laterally spreading tumours, flat colorectal neoplasms 10mm or greater, and large polypoid colorectal neoplasms, polypoid colorectal neoplasms 10mm or greater, were compared.

Between 2008 and 2012, 8120 patients underwent colonoscopy for symptoms (84.6%), screening (6.7%) or surveillance (8.7%). At baseline, 151 patients had adenomatous laterally spreading tumours and 566 patients had adenomatous large polypoid colorectal neoplasms. Laterally spreading tumour patients had more synchronous colorectal neoplasms than large polypoid colorectal neoplasm patients (mean 3.34 vs. 2.34, p<0.001). Laterally spreading tumour patients ients with laterally spreading tumours developed more metachronous colorectal neoplasms with high grade dysplasia/submucosal invasion than large polypoid colorectal neoplasm patients. Based on these findings endoscopic treatment and surveillance recommendations for patients with laterally spreading tumours should be optimised.
The increase in carotid artery blood flow velocity is a measure of the severity of the carotid artery stenosis caused by atherosclerosis. Carotid artery stenosis is progressive and is of great importance due to the risk of stroke it creates. As an alternative to radiological examinations in these patients, patient follow-up can be facilitated by associating novel laboratory parameters with the severity of stenosis. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of the calculated plasma osmolality and atherogenic index of plasma on carotid artery blood flow velocities in patients with carotid artery stenosis.

A total of 161 patients diagnosed with carotid artery stenosis who admitted to our clinic between May 2018 and May 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the carotid artery blood flow velocities measured with the Doppler ultrasonography, the patients were divided into two groups as "Normal flow velocity group" (
 = 62) and "Increased flow velocity group" (
 = 99).
