In this study, the characterization of the intestinal microbiome of Solea senegalensis, a flatfish with high potential for aquaculture in South Europe, receiving U. ohnoi (5%)-supplemented diet for 90 days has been carried out. In addition, the functional profiles of bacterial communities have been determined by using PICRUSt, a computational approach to predict the functional composition of a metagenome by using marker gene data and a database of reference genomes. The results show that long-term dietary administration of U. ohnoi (5%)-supplemented feed modulates S. senegalensis intestinal microbiota, especially in the posterior intestinal section. Increased relative abundance of Vibrio jointly with decreased Stenotrophomonas genus has been detected in fish receiving Ulva diet compared to control-fed fish. The influence of the diet on the intestinal functionality of S. senegalensis has been studied for the first time. Changes in bacterial composition were accompanied by differences in predicted microbiota functionality. Increased abundance of predicted genes involved in xenobiotic biodegradation and metabolism were observed in the microbiota when U. ohnoi diet was used. On the contrary, predicted percentages of genes associated to penicillin and cephalosporin biosynthesis as well as beta-lactam resistance were reduced after feeding with Ulva diet.A unique lytic phage infecting Hafnia paralvei was isolated and identified. Hafnia phage Ca belongs to the family Autographiviridae, possessing an icosahedral head with a diameter of 55 nm and a short non-contractile tail. Unusually, the burst size of Hafnia phage Ca of 10,292 ± 1,097 plaque-forming units (PFUs)/cell is much larger than other dsDNA phages reported before. Compared to the genome of the related phage, Hafnia phage Ca genome contains extra genes including DNA mimic ocr, dGTP triphosphohydrolase inhibitor, endonuclease, endonuclease VII, and HNH homing endonuclease gene. This study was undertaken to determine the frequency, antimicrobial resistance, and biofilm-forming ability of MRSA and VRSA isolated from RTE meat (shawarma and burger) and humans (food handlers, and hospitalized patients) in Zagazig city, Sharkia Governorate, Egypt. We analyzed 176 samples (112 human samples 72 from hospitalized patients and 40 from food handlers, 64 RTE meat samples 38 from shawarma and 26 from burger). Using phenotypic, PCR-based identification of nuc gene and matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS), 60 coagulase-positive S. aureus (COPS) isolates were identified in the samples as follow RTE meat (15/64, 23.4%), hospitalized patients (33/72, 45.8%) andrganisms persisting in RTE meat, food handlers, and patients. "One Health" is a multidisciplinary concept aimed at improving human, animal, and environmental health, but this concept is not widely accepted in developing countries. Cell-free extracts (CFE) from a marine culture of actinobacteria and silver nitrate were used to reduce Ag+ ions and create Bio-AgNPs. Nocardiopsis dasonvillei KY772427, a new silver-tolerant actinomycete strain, was isolated from marine water and used to synthesize AgNPs. In order to characterize Bio-AgNPs, UV-Vis spectral analysis, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and dynamic light scattering spectroscopy (DLS) were all utilized. Using UV-Vis spectroscopy, a peak in the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectrum at 430 nm revealed the presence of Bio-AgNPs. The TEM revealed spherical AgNPs with a diameter of 29.28 nm. DLS determined that Bio-AgNPs have a diameter of 56.1 nm and a negative surface charge (-1.46 mV). The minimum inhibitory concentrfor the use of marine Nocardiopsis dasonvillei to produce Bio-AgNPs, which have significant antimicrobial, antioxidant, insecticidal, and anticancer potential.

Recent scientific research has shown that intestinal microbiota and its metabolites have an important impact on the development of NASH. A balanced intestinal microbiota contributes to the maintenance of liver homeostasis, but when the intestinal microbiota is disequilibrated, it serves as a source of pathogens and molecules that lead to NASH. In this review, we mainly emphasize the key mechanisms by which the intestinal microbiota and its metabolites affect NASH. In addition, recent clinical trials and animal studies on the treatment of NASH by regulating the intestinal microbiota through prebiotics, probiotics, synbiotics and FMT have also been briefly elaborated. With the increasing understanding of interactions between the intestinal microbiota and liver, accurate and personalized detection and treatment methods for NASH are expected to be established.
There is a need for a simplified technique for C-IONM in robotic surgery. The primary aim of this study was to describe our clinical experience with the use of percutaneous C-IONM in robotic bilateral axillary thyroid surgery.

This study prospectively enrolled 304 consecutive patients who underwent robotic thyroidectomy
the bilateral axillo-breast approach and standardized C-IONM
percutaneous probe stimulation.

323 RLNs were analyzed. C-IONM with percutaneous probes was feasible in all cases. During this study, we did not record any cases of probe displacement, and no additional robotic maneuvers were required. The average stimulation intensity was 2 mA. There were no adverse local or systemic C-IONM side effects. The mean time required for probe positioning was 3 minutes. The EMG amplitude signal of 48 RLNs decreased significantly, < 50% from the original V1 signal. In these cases, the surgical procedure was modified.

The proposed percutaneous C-IONM provides a simplification of the continuous monitoring procedure for robotics.
