After hundreds of calibration repetitions, we concluded a new estimate (ET0-Hadria) which demonstrates an overall improvement in the quality and precision of ET0 assessment, mainly in flat areas. This estimate improved the precision and enhanced the precision in almost 68% of the stations. This simple calibrated estimate is an accurate, improved, and transferable tool achieved through a precise methodical process of selection and configuration. In electrical engineering, hardware experts often need to analyze electromagnetic radiation data to detect any external interference or anomaly. The field that studies this sort of assessment is called electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). As a way to support EMC analysis, we propose the use of Augmented Situated Visualization (ASV) to supply professionals with visual and interactive information that helps them to comprehend that data, however situating it where it is most relevant in its spatial context. Users are able to interact with the visualization by changing the attributes being displayed, comparing the overlaps of multiple fields, and extracting data, as a way to refine their search. The solutions being proposed in this work were tested against each other in comparable 2D and 3D interactive visualizations of the same data in a series of data-extraction assessments with users, as a means to validate the approaches. Results exposed a correctness-time trade-off between the interaction methods. The hand-based techniques (Hand Slider and Touch Lens) were the least error-prone, being near to half as error-inducing as the gaze-based method. Touch Lens also performed as the least time-consuming method, taking in average less than half of the average time required by the others. For the visualization methods tested, the 2D ray casts presented a higher usability score and lesser workload index than the 3D topology view, however exposing over two times the error ratio. Ultimately, this work exposes how AR can help users to have better performances in a decision-making context, particularly in EMC related tasks, while also furthering the research in the ASV field. One hundred years ago Hermann Staudinger was strongly criticized by his scientific peers for his macromolecular hypothesis, but today it is hard to imagine a world without polymers. His hypothesis described polymers as macromolecules composed of large numbers of structural units connected by covalent bonds. In the 1990s the concept of supramolecular polymers emerged in the scientific literature as discrete entities of large molar mass comparable to that of classical polymers but built through non-covalent bonds among monomers. Supramolecular polymers exist in biological systems, and potentially blend the physical properties of covalent polymers with unique features such as high degrees of internal order within the polymeric structure, defined shapes, and novel dynamics. This trend article provides a summary of seminal contributions in supramolecular polymerization and provides recent examples from the Stupp laboratory to demonstrate the potential applications of an exciting class of materials composed fully or partially of supramolecular polymers. In closing, we provide our perspective on future opportunities provided by this field at the onset of a second century of polymers. It is our objective here to demonstrate that this second century could be as prosperous, if not more so, than the preceding one. After the launch of Bitcoin in 2008 and the subsequent introduction of more than 6,600 cryptocurrencies, a new wave of innovative payment projects is currently on its way, including innovations like Libra - designed as a supranational stable coin - and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). Various interrelations link these private and public projects. Contrary to the original intentions, Bitcoin has not developed into a widespread means of payments, not the least due to its considerable price volatility. Its most significant contribution could be the "proof of concept" for an innovative, private means of payment outside the conventional monetary system. In contrast, Libra is designed as a rather conventional means of payment with close relations with the existing banking sector, which raises numerous policy questions concerning monetary and financial stability. Central bank digital currencies could be viewed as a public sector response to these private projects to secure central banks' predominant role in the monetary system of the future. With the economic shutdown in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of some industries for the national economy has come into focus. This report identifies industries that are closely linked with the rest of the economy through supply chains; stopping production in these industries would have a significant impact on the overall economy. On the one hand, there are industries in which production losses lead to massive demand losses in other industries. On the other hand, there are industries in which production downtimes lead to massive delivery difficulties for other industries. Beyond these interdependencies, we also account for negative effects stemming from the loss of income and from consumption or investment decisions. The brick-and-mortar retail SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) market is confronted with unprecedented challenges digitization procurement in a company not prepared for a digitalized business model, and the actual digitalization process of the business model, which not only changes the business rules but disrupts them with new possibilities. Despite Industry 4.0 transforming manufacturing in terms of the way of producing and distributing goods by means of process digitization, the offline retail SMEs market is struggling to satisfy customers' shopping expectations due to two direct constraints existing offline competitors operating under a narrowing market share, and online retail competitors increasing market share due to their better positioned eCommerce IT platforms. The purpose of this work is to study the potential effect of digitalization on SMEs, focusing on businesses operating in the offline retail market, by means of provisioning cloud solutions supporting the business digitization process. The study is based on data collected from a wide range of official sources in conjunction with extensive research work reviewing technologies applicable to these kinds of businesses. The validation is performed through the Focus Group methodology between the months of June to October 2019, with 20 participants from the Henares Corridor, Madrid (Spain) area, considering them as a relevant sample of offline retail SMEs in Spain. The value proposition of this study can help offline retail SMEs understand the difference between digitization and digitalization, the necessity of digitalization in their businesses, the existence of accelerators such as e-Receipt cloud solutions, and the disruptive potential of digitalization to their business models on long-term survival regarding competitors and raising the circular economy. The aim of this paper is to present the methodology and results of a study on the role played by an institution in higher education, the ESIC Business & Marketing School, in teaching different master's degree programmes to examine whether they respond to the demands of potential entrepreneurs who are seeking to acquire the tools and develop the skills necessary to eventually become successful. The main conclusions were that the students with the intention of achieving a higher level of entrepreneurial skills were enroled in the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme without omitting other master's degree programmes also chosen by students with entrepreneurial concerns. It was also found that the variable with the highest impact on entrepreneurial motivation was family environment. Our data lead us to maintain that these students were not always going to start up a new business. The originality of this paper comes from our survey with 1,135 responses from the master's degree programmes taught in five cities in Spain with the inclusion of an analysis for LATAM students.COVID-19, the pandemic disease recently discovered in Wuhan (China), severely spread and affected both social and economic activity all over the world. Attempts to find an effective vaccine are challenging, time-consuming though interminable. Hence, re-proposing effective drugs is reliable and effective alternative. Taking into account the genome similarity of COVID-19 with SARS-CoV, drugs with safety profiles could be fast solution. Clinical trials encouraged the use of Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 inhibition. One of the possible inhibition pathways is the competitive binding with the angiotension-converting enzyme-2 (ACE-2), in particular with the cellular Sialic acid (Neu5Ac). Here, we investigate the possible binding mechanism of ClQ and ClQOH with sialic acid both in the gas phase and in water using density functional theory (DFT). We investigated the binding of the neutral, monoprotonated and diprotonated ClQs and ClQOHs to sialic acid to simulate the pH effect on the cellular receptor binding. DFT results reveals that monoprotonated ClQ+ and ClQOH+, which account for more than 66% in the solution, possess high reactivity and binding towards sialic acid. The Neu5Ac-ClQ and the analogues Neu5Ac-ClQOH adducts were stabilized in water than in the gas phase. The molecular complexes stabilize by strong hydrogen bonding and π - π stacking forces. In addition, proton-transfer in Neu5Ac-ClQOH+ provides more stabilizing power and cellular recognition binding forces. These results shed light on possible recognition mechanism and help future breakthroughs for COVID-19 inhibitors.A systematic process for assessing progress toward landscape sustainability goals is developed and tested. Application of the approach builds capacity and promotes continual improvements in management practices, thus enabling timely action to address changing conditions while progressing toward locally defined goals. We consider how the approach applies to agricultural landscapes, that is farm ecosystem interactions with the environment and human well-being. We present lessons learned from applying the assessment approach in two contrasting situations large, high-input, commercial agriculture in northwestern Mexico and small, low-input family farms in the Western Highlands of Guatemala. Applying the approach reveals five attributes required for success and the means to achieve those conditions. (1) Having a capable local champion for the project is critical. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/bay-2402234.html (2) Implementation of the approach must be in concert with local people and organizations as well as with regional and national policies and programs. (3) Identification and engagement of key stakeholders is essential. (4) Application of the approach is not meant to be a one-time effort but rather an ongoing and systematic process. (5) Engagement and buy-in from stakeholders including multiple agency levels is essential for allocation of necessary resources and logistic support in the continuing implementation of the approach.Existing since 1964, the Committee for Mineral Processing is one of the most important units of the Austrian Mining Association. The Committee is engaged in publishing technical information concerning mineral processing, both in articles and in conferences.
