Get Rid Of Best Folding Incline Treadmill: 10 Reasons Why You Don't Need It
Finding the Best Folding Incline Treadmill

Finding the ideal folding incline treadmill to suit your lifestyle can feel like an uphill climb. The crowded market of low-cost options can be even more difficult.

The budget option may appear simple, but it's an absolute powerhouse when it comes to fitness features. It can go up to 12 mph, and comes with 12 incline levels. It can be folded up and placed under a bed to keep it in storage.

1. SereneLife Folding Treadmill With Incline

A treadmill that folds up is a great option for anyone who wants to work out at home but isn't ready to dedicate a whole room to a treadmill. These treadmills can fold up or unfold easily making them ideal for small spaces and restricted living spaces. They can also be easily stored when not in use. Some models even have wheels that make it easy to transport.

One of the most well-known small, folding incline treadmills on the market is this model from SereneLife. It is designed to accommodate various weights and heights using adjustable settings. The treadmill also comes with various features and programs, including Bluetooth connectivity and an LCD display and 12 pre-programmed workouts. It can support the maximum weight of 265 pounds.

This treadmill comes with an hydraulic folding system that makes it simple to open and close. It can be locked in place for extra security. It also comes with a safety switch that shuts off power in emergencies, a digital display with touch buttons, and built-in cup holders as well as book and magazine tray. The engine's horsepower is 1 horsepower, and it can reach speeds ranging from 0.6 and 6 MPH. This makes it suitable for walking or jogging with a light touch.

SereneLife's folding incline treadmill is an excellent choice for those looking to work out at home. SereneLife only sells two treadmills, meaning it's not a brand is expected to be at the leading edge of fitness technology. However, the treadmill is still quite modern and has plenty to offer for its modest cost. The deck is smaller compared to other treadmills. It's not an ideal option for those who are taller or have a higher step.

2. iFit 1250 Treadmill

This treadmill folds from NordicTrack is a great option for runners and power walkers who want to exercise with incline features. The motor and frame are more robust than the other treadmills that fold up that are priced at this level, and it features a large running deck that is suitable for running at high speeds. The running deck is 20 inches long and 60 inches wide which should accommodate most runners regardless of their height. This is a little shorter than the decks on a few other treadmills I've looked at, but it's still a comfortable size for most users.

The Commercial 1250 tracks your heart rate with the SmartBeat wireless chest strap (sold separately), and the treadmill uses that data to automatically adjust the speed and incline based on your preferred training zone. This feature, known as ActivePulse is the main reason why I prefer the Commercial 1250 to similar treadmills at this price point.

You can also benefit from iFit programming on this treadmill, with an expansive library of workouts as well as training videos that feature elite runners and coaches. The iFit program also offers guided runs that can take you to locations like Patagonia. If you don't want to use iFit, the treadmill will still function however you won't have the automatic adjustments or immersive training experiences.

The NordicTrack Commercial 1250 is a quite heavy for a folding treadmill and requires a decent amount of space to run. It is easy to move around and comes with a 10-year warranty. The warranty is longer than other treadmills in this price range.

3. iFit 1250 Folding Treadmill

This treadmill is among the best options for iFit available. It is able to automatically adjust both speed and incline. iFIT provides access to hundreds of workouts available on demand led by top trainers from all over world. The iFIT workouts feature AutoAdjust technology which means that your treadmill will automatically adjust the speed and incline of your workout to follow the instructor's instructions (requires an SmartBeat heart rate monitor - sold separately).

The 1250 Folding treadmill also comes with a 10-inch HD touchscreen. It tilts and pivots and allows you to navigate iFIT without pressing buttons. The screen is set at an ideal height for me, and it is easy to navigate. You can listen to your trainer using built-in 2 two" speakers or connect your own Bluetooth headphones to fully immerse yourself and keep focus. If you're running the iFit 1250 Folding Treadmill also has an AutoBreeze workout fan built-in, which will keep your cool while you work out.

You can train on any terrain by using the 12 inclined settings and three decline settings. The Commercial 1250 comes with 1.9-inch rollers. They are not as large as the ones on the Peloton Treadmill but should be adequate for most runners and walkers.

Another feature that is great on the iFit 1250 is its ActivePulse heart rate monitoring technology. This technology automatically adjusts your speed and incline during your workout to keep you in your optimal heart rate zone (requires the SmartBeat chest band - not included). The iFit is priced at $1999, which is lower than the Peloton Treadmill and still provides an outstanding experience. You'll have access to a large library of workouts and the iFIT community of coaches that offer support and motivation to keep you motivated.

4. iFit 1250 Plus Treadmill

It's a bit more expensive than other NordicTrack treadmills however it offers plenty of features for the price.

It's possible to keep it in a designated space instead of moving it around, but the good news is that it comes with gas shocks, which make it easy to fold up when not in use. It also has a step-up height of 7.75 inches, which makes it easy to remove and put on the machine. Read our full review for more details about this model. It has a 3.5 CHP motor that produces plenty of power for tough running and HIIT training with a 15% incline and a 3% decline to increase the intensity.
