To evaluate the effectiveness of medial buttress plate augmented hollow lag screws fixation in combination with sartorius pedicled iliac flap for the treatment of femoral neck fractures in young adults.
The clinical data of 11 young adult patients with femoral neck fractures between February 2013 and February 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. There were 7 males and 4 females with a mean age of 45 years (range, 32-58 years). Fractures were caused by falling from height in 6 cases, by traffic accident in 4 cases, and by sports injury in 1 case. There were 7 cases in the left hip and 4 cases in the right hip. The mean Pauwels angle was 64° (range, 55°-75°). All patients were treated by medial buttress plate augmented hollow lag screws fixation and sartorius pedicled iliac flap. The X-ray film of pelvis, lateral X-ray film of hip joint, CT scan and three-dimensional reconstruction of hip joint were taken after operation to assess fracture healing and position of the internal fixators. The postoperative hip ead and neck, which subsequently reduce the incidence of ONFH. However, the surgical indication should be fully considered.

To investigate the effectiveness of Endobutton plate coracoclavicular fixation combined with fracture site high-strength suture Nice knot cerclage fixation in the treatment of distal clavicle fracture with coracoclavicular ligament injury.
The clinical data of 33 cases of distal clavicular fracture with coracoclavicular ligament injury treated by Endobutton coracoclavicular plate fixation between January 2017 and December 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. According to the fixation methods of fracture site, they were divided into two groups the high-strength suture Nice knot fixation group (study group, 16 cases) and the transacromial Kirschner wire fixation group (control group, 17 cases). There was no significant difference between the two groups in common data such as age, gender, injury side, cause of injury, Craig type, combined injury, time from injury to operation, and preoperative visual analogue scale (VAS) score and Constant-Murley score (
>0.05). Postoperative fracture healing and compliccan stabilize the fracture end, reduce the complications of Kirschner wire fixation, and is more conducive to fracture healing. The effectiveness is satisfactory.
For oblique fracture or combined with butterfly fracture in the distal clavicle fracture with coracoclavicular ligament injury, the fracture site high-strength suture Nice knot fixation is a good supplement to the Endobutton plate coracoclavicular fixation. It can stabilize the fracture end, reduce the complications of Kirschner wire fixation, and is more conducive to fracture healing. The effectiveness is satisfactory.
To analyze the possible injury mechanisms in patients with dorsal avulsion fracture of the capitellum combined with medial or posterior medial dislocation of the elbow joint, and to discuss their treatment and prognosis.
Retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 4 patients with dorsal avulsion fracture of the capitellum combined with medial or posterior medial dislocation of the elbow joint admitted between September 2014 and September 2020, including 3 males and 1 female with an average age of 20.7 years (range, 13-32 years). There were 2 cases of dorsal avulsion fracture of the capitellum combined with medial dislocation of the elbow joint and 2 cases of dorsal avulsion fracture of the capitellum and anterior medial fracture of the coronoid process combined with posterior medial subluxation of the elbow joint. Closed reduction was performed in 3 patients with fresh fracture combined with dislocation, then 2 cases were fixed with tension band and 1 case was fixed with tension band combined ion can be used with good results.
To evaluate the effectiveness of arthroscopic Pushlock anchor fixation with iliac creast bone autograft in the treatment of recurrent anterior shoulder instability with critical bone defect.
The clinical data of 80 patients with recurrent anterior shoulder instability with critical bone defect treated by arthroscopic Pushlock anchor fixation with iliac creast bone autograft between January 2016 and January 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were all male; they were 18-45 years old at the surgery, with an average of 25 years old. The disease duration ranged from 3 months to 5 years, with an average of 2 years. The shoulder joint dislocated 3-50 times, with an average of 8 times. X-ray films, MRI, CT scans and three-dimensional reconstruction of the shoulder were performed before operation. The area of the anterior glenoid defect was 25%-45%, with an average of 27.3%. The shoulder mobility (forward flexion and external rotation in abduction at 90°), the Constant-Murley score, and the Rowe scorfectiveness in the treatment of recurrent anterior shoulder instability with critical bone defect. The method is relatively simple and the learning curve is short.

The characteristics of shoulder instability and SLAP lesion were analyzed, and the relationship between them in pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, and biomechanics was discussed by referring to relevant domestic and foreign literature.
Shoulder instability and SLAP lesion can occur both spontaneously and respectively. SLAP lesion destroys the superior labrum integrity and the long head of biceps tendon (LHBT) insertion, causing excessive humeral head displacement against glenoid, and leading to shoulder instability. While chronic repetitive or acute high-energy traumatic shoulder instability can in turn aggravate SLAP lesion, resulting in expansion and increased degree of the original lesion.

However, the existing evidence can only demonstrate that shoulder instability and SLAP lesion induce and promote the development of each other, instead of a necessary and sufficient condition. Therefore, the specific causal relationship between the two remains unknown and needs to be further studied.

Therefore, AMR is recognized as one of the major global health threats of this century. Antibiotics are used extensively in farming systems to treat and prevent infections in food animals or to increase their growth. Besides the risk of a transfer of AMR between the human and the animal sector, there is another yet largely overlooked sector in the One Health triad. Human-dominated ecosystems such as agricultural soils are a major sink for antibiotics and AMR originating from livestock farming. This review summarizes current knowledge on the prevalence of AMR at the interface of animal and agricultural production and discusses the potential implications for human health. Soil resistomes are augmented by the application of manure from treated livestock. Subsequent transfer of AMR into plant microbiomes may likely play a critical role in human exposure to antibiotic resistance in the environment. Based on the knowledge that is currently available we advocate that more attention should be paid to the role of environmental resistomes in the AMR crisis.A biofilm inhibiting mechanism operates in the cyanobacterium Synechococcus elongatus. Here, we demonstrate that the glycosyltransferase homologue, Ogt, participates in the inhibitory process - inactivation of ogt results in robust biofilm formation. Furthermore, a mutational approach shows requirement of the glycosyltransferase activity for biofilm inhibition. This enzyme is necessary for glycosylation of the pilus subunit and for adequate pilus formation. In contrast to wild-type culture in which most cells exhibit several pili, only 25% of the mutant cells are piliated, half of which possess a single pilus. In spite of this poor piliation, natural DNA competence was similar to that of wild-type; therefore, we propose that the unglycosylated pili facilitate DNA transformation. Additionally, conditioned medium from wild-type culture, which contains a biofilm inhibiting substance(s), only partially blocks biofilm development by the ogt-mutant. Thus, we suggest that inactivation of ogt affects multiple processes including production or secretion of the inhibitor as well as the ability to sense or respond to it.We conducted a close replication of the seminal work by Marcus and colleagues from 1999, which showed that after a brief auditory exposure phase, 7-month-old infants were able to learn and generalize a rule to novel syllables not previously present in the exposure phase. Our results did not replicate the original findings infants showed no difference in looking time between test patterns consistent or inconsistent with the familiarization pattern they were exposed to.
